1.0.6 Vendor Recipes, Discovered Yet?
" What a silly assumption. Tell me a reason why anyone wouldn't take a riddle or hint over the boring method of junking everything into the vendor every time a new vendor recipes gets released. Resources riddles might cost for GGG aside. Sure, there would be an audience that cries. But that would probably the audience who loves the current state anyway. This aside, the whine about "too much riddles" could be fought in the way that multiple vendor recipe released, like 4 in one patch, can be batched into one riddle. The recipes are probably related anyway. I doubt GGG is able to pin-down the amount of players, who like their style of vendor recipe on release, with actual statistics. Hence we better scrap the idea of calling one side or the other a "minority" (on a forum, LOL) and try to construct some actual arguments which GGG might take into consideration. Riddles are fun for some, and they don't prevent bruteforce trying for those who like this. An upside and no downside, I'm hard pressed to find more "actual arguments".
If its a question of resources, GGG can always say that they are not prefercly happy with the current system but that they don't have people available to do better (as they said for many other problems). That would end the discussion, and stop for forum hate. Most posters here are pretty understanding every time ggg use the limited-resources argument. It doesn't have to be a riddle. They should just tell us what the recipe produces.

5 rare items of the same type = 1 rare item of that type. Couldn't find it on wiki.

" may not be bullying , but it is out right retarded. Don't see the point of not just saying what the recipes are.. oh wait! that would ruin the fun for some people like you who tell people to run circles around a turd with an eternaled fairgraves while spamming chat with some jabberjaws bullshit. " Under Equipment Basic Item Prodction - last 2 rows Reward:Item (magic, unidentified) ×1 Item (magic) ×5 The components must all be of the same base item type (e.g., Coral Ring). The result will have the lowest item level of all components. Reward: Item (rare, unidentified) ×1 Item (rare) ×5 The components must all be of the same base item type (e.g., Coral Ring). The result will have the lowest item level of all components. its there you just have to think a little bit harder when reading the wiki as to the page is kind of confusing. Why ask Why and start by denying before you have actually tried?

Here is my idea to improved the recipe stuff but also the usability.
give items that can be used for a hidden recipe an icon beside the name or another color. then ppl could figure it out by themself instead of waiting one year or more until the info is somewhere shared (reddit mostly).
Spoiler
get orbs a better color, this almost-white color is os hard to see.

" Nobody explicitly, but it was implied that the recipes are secret, because some people like to discover them. And in my opinion those are really really few. Therefore GGG is balancing the game for a tiny minority. The gem + GCP recipe which is immensely useful for self-found play (but not only), was hidden for several months, while the few guys who knew it were able to cash-in. Getting some hints / riddles would already be a huge improvement, because more people would try to find the recipe. There is way too much obscurity in this game already When night falls She cloaks the world In impenetrable darkness Last edited by morbo#1824 on Feb 6, 2014, 8:17:39 AM

Guys, guys, GGG does this because they want to. You won't convince them otherwise unless you massively vote with your dollar and simply leave.
Any action other than that will be met with "we follow our design philosophy and have the support of enough paying customers to support our game." Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |
