The most overused strawman on these forums: "RNG is RNG"
Hahahaha, this cracker, man.
Also, without desire there would be no life, no children. You would not even eat. If everyone were outspoken buddhists and lived like monks our race would end. Desire is essential, but excess desire can lead to suffering. Buddhists are grey, as in they have no color. I love buddhism but in the past i had to realize that not all of their teachings are good for life, but are most often good for suppression such as it sounds you have done: "Expecting anything is expecting too much.". I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Jan 31, 2014, 4:32:39 PM

" Also another thing to say here is this, said only for the sake of argument to show how far out your arguments are against peoples expectations. Games are played by masses and enligthened people alike, they are not just for those who have deep insight, in fact most that have that stop playing games and most of the people who play these games cannot control their desires. That is in fact one of the main causes for gamers to be gamers, they follow their desires. With that in mind, you could say GGG have made a game of suffering because they have things people desire but is not realistic for them to acquire which leads to suffering. Am i not right, AM I NOT RIGHT?!?! I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Jan 31, 2014, 4:38:48 PM

I like the randomness of it all. As a long time roguelike player, this is exactly my cup of tea. Sometimes you just aren't going to get that treasure, because there is a fucking Balrog guarding it.

" I also love random, random level generation, random drops, random spawns etc. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

" And in this case... that Balrog is unfortunately not a monster you can fight in the game. I can beat a Balrog. In like 30 seconds actually. |

Just want to say that I have nothing to say.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

When it comes to games, they have to be made entirely of real or fake difficulty. Anything in between frustrates players and makes games needlessly impossible to beat.
PoE is centered almost entirely around fake difficulty, RNG. And its fine. Besides, you don't NEED top gear to beat the game anyway. I can already run 70-72 maps, and my gear was mostly found around the lunaris temple and earlier. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!
