Immortal flesh belt soooo OP...
" As I said before, these two unique items are well designed because they scale extremely well with player competence =p One of the most over looked benefits of Immortal Flesh seems to be the mana regen which works really well with a high mana regen character. Not many players stack %mana regen and + mana gear, but I do. Which gives me well over 240 mana regen per second and I'm only level 72. Which gives me arctic armor and auras plenty of juice. How is this relevant. Well I have more than enough mana to put up purity Cold/ Light/ Fire auras. Generally I stick with light as it's the most dangerous imo. Cold isn't that big of a deal because of Alpha's Howl. And for fire I swap to Phoenix Mosaic shield but due to arctic armor which reduces fire damage greatly, I only need to swap to the shield vs unrighteous fire mobs that are taking a little too long for me to get to for whatever reason. Then on top of that I use flasks. Generally I just have 2 lighting resist flasks 1 granite and 2 life flasks. Occasionally I swap out the light flasks for chaos flasks or cold flasks such as vs the library bosses. Chaos flask is useful there with granite and so is the belt and the high level arctic armor that the belt's mana regen aids my character with. Sorry but the resists thing just isn't much of an issue when you build around it. Same as with Soul Mantle many complain about the curses but they hardly do anything when u get anti curse pots. |

" It took you 2 minutes to kill 66 Piety. There is no way you did palace dominus with negative resists |

Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them. |

75 Life Regen is pretty much exactly two 0.4% life regen nodes for me. I.e. this belt is absolute trash (for my build).

" Speaking of lasting to lvl 100, my character that uses Blood Dance is at lvl 89, and is still incredible. Never seizes to amaze me. Personally my favorite unique item in the game. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Jan 11, 2014, 6:13:56 AM

immortal flesh is only viable during brutus fight, that all, one would have to be retarded to use it clearing 78 level map, you would end up receiving 50% more elemental damage and that really big(as far as im concerned a good char has 90% phys reduction with end charges anyway), as for the life regen, sure it can be usefull for farming merciless felshrine but apart from that its nothing big(100 life regen is a small thing)

" I think the question is if 40% increased armour and -X physical dmg taken is of more value than +10% max resists (the life and mana regen is ok but it won't be gamebreaking and life can be found on any good rare belt as well, -40 resist can be made up for in other gear pieces). This belt has some flat mana regen which scales well with %regen so arctic armour immediately springs out as a nice addition, especially because it synergizes well with the -x physical damage taken and the -10% max fire resist, so you would probably want a very manaregen-intensive char to run a big AA with. Next I would probably have a lot of crit chance because that way you can keep surgeon's flasks up. Iron reflexes + jade flask of reflexes/granite flask of iron skin combined with immortal flesh will be really good and you can even counter the frozen/shocked/ignited by having those as suffixes on your surgeon flasks. You can also counter the -max resists by having a ruby, sapphire and topaz flask (and 2nd/3rd will be the jade/granite). Throw on determination and grace and you have a ton of armour. But of course this begs the question: what if we do all of the above except just switch out immortal flesh for another belt...? Sure you can say that you would lose a few levels on AA because of no manareg and you would lose a lot of armour, but is that armour and the few lvls of AA really worth the 10 max resist? Beyond league.

" yeah with that kind of build is viable, but pro's are? you just have to waste 3 auras spot you don't really need and use some crappy unique just to counter the malus. Of course it's a good unique but you will probably die in end-game maps with it. |

I should probably add that belts can spawn a hefty +armour mod as well, here is a random belt from my stash:
So you have to keep in mind that it's 40% increased armour vs. something like 300ish flat armour (which then gets boosted by determination, the passive tree, flasks of iron skin, ..., ...,) so tbh immortal flesh looks pretty bad. Beyond league.

" 300flat armor: lets say 200%increased armor from passives, and another 100%from perfect granite, and anothe 50%more from determination: 300*4*1,5=1800armor 40% increased armor: lets say base 4k armor minimum, 4000*0,4=1600armor, from determination =2400 armor and from the granite another 3000*0,4*1,5=1800, 1800+2400= 4200 so more than double armor gain for immortal flesh |
