Ask a (formerly) homeless (pseudo-)bum anything

Breaking Bad was shot mostly in El Paso. Are you familiar with the show? Are there any Breaking Bad fan tours?

Do you speak Spanish? Would there be any advantages of being able to speak Spanish where you live?

Shortly before getting evicted I finally watched S1E1 of Breaking Bad. Pretty decent, but not overly thrilling. Not saying it's a bad show, but I'm not interested in seeing more. Also, never seen anyone filming in El Paso. For any show.

I don't speak Spanish, which pretty much means I can't get ANY local job in customer service — not even fast food. If you deal with customers in this town you have to be bilingual.

Would you consider staying homeless so this thread can get stickied for Off-Topic?

Any plans for Sunday?

One more thing - I assume your car and it's contents is your entire wealth at the moment. Do you take any special precautions when it comes to parking etc.? Where do you tend to leave it at night or during the day?

Was your first date awkward or did it go relatively smoothly? Did you get to first base? Are you a natural romantic or do you not care for such emotional trivialities?

Outside of my bank account, yes, pretty much. I do make sure to always lock it and roll up the windows, but that's normal stuff. The only special thing I do it make sure to park in the open. Sometimes I visit the "shitty" non-breathalyzing shelter downtown (because they track mail better, so its still my mailing address and they call me when I get mail), and instead of parking up front — where there's never anyone around — I park on the curb within clear sight of a popular outdoor smoker's spot, so that ALL of the bums see the car and I can pretty much count on there being a witness in case of a smash-and-grab. It's a valid concern because I have more stuff than my trunk can hold so it spills over to the back seat.

Kind of, but mostly not. It's not so much my personality changing as learning to consistently apply a personality to all facets of my life... instead of being different people in different places as I did before. I'm more "Scrotie" in my real life these days rather than it being an exclusively online persona (although I don't have people call me that). So I guess from the "birth" aspect of your question, no, but from the "death" aspect, yes. And good fucking riddance.
