Great idea.

Finally you're getting it. If you're going to be an asshole and clutter up the party board, please don't act all surprised when you find people are angry. Make no mistake about it... you are pissing people off.

Which is fine. I don't like it as much as the next person, but like you pointed out, being an asshole is not prohibited. However do take steps to protect yourself and don't go acting like you're the victim. *That's* really annoying.

Making a thread like this expecting sympathy is pointless.

I edited my post to reflect what I meant better. What you're saying doesn't convince me. I don't agree with these people and I think it is wrong, in some sense. Pixels or not, the game takes real time, energy, and effort. Very real things, things which people do have real life interests involved with. I don't buy the whole "it's only pixels" thing.

I don't think people who have issues with PoE would appreciate GGG saying "oh it's just pixels guys who gives a shit". Because we have things invested in the game. Money in this case, sometimes, but still real things comparable to time or effort in the other case.

Now, is it some utterly terrible thing? No. But is it enough to warrant me calling someone an asshole? I think so, personally.

It's not ethical, whatsoever. But it's also not illegal. However, it's just as unethical as hosting a public party while expecting the map you have open to be private and exclusive to you. The fact of the matter is, if you have a map open in a public party that you don't want anyone else to use, then you're just as responsible as the people that jump in and run the map with you.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?

u seem to be mad and as i said, i dont really care, because i dont use the board wrong. so i think those threads are the best to laugh at :D

still good to see people will invade those maps, good job guys.

Nice logic there, really impressive.
Apart from you haven't said anything about my madness.

I use the Noticeboard to notice someone what I'm buying/selling/mapping, therefore, I don't use the board wrong.

They really are laughable, primarily because people don't learn how to prevent the "invaders", it's very easy.

What I don't like is the twisted logic by the "invaders", making excuses to act like shits, again I appeal to the traders, waste your portals and it's all fine.

Have a nice day

i only laugh at the people who are crying about people joining when they have public partys open, thats the best part about it.
i dont care if your using the board for trading purpose, i dont play anymore (yes, i look into the forum from time to time), i think its wrong and for that its good that players are doing something about it
i dont want to offend you, its your statement to use the board like that and i dont like that, but its my statement that i think that is wrong and you dont like that, thats how the world works otherwise it would be boring :D
Oh I love these threads.
what if everyone who is selling/buying something abuse Party board for that?

To be fair, it isn't the "Party board." It's the "Notice Board." It doesn't specify that it's just for parties, nor does it say it's just for trading, so both should be allowed. There should probably be two separate boards, one for each, but that's a different discussion. This is just about people hosting public parties while expecting others that join to not jump in the map they've got open.
Look, man. Video games are hard, okay?
As far as I'm concerned, both parties are in the wrong here.

First we have "douchebag" #1; he creates public parties for the sole purpose of promoting his trade offer. No matter how you look at the noticeboard and its role, advertising trades is not on its list of features, although you can see why it can be easily abused. Furthermore, this
douchebag has the nerve of acting like the victim, when he's the one that started all of this.

And secondly we have "douchebag" #2; he invades the public parties of douchebag #1, with the sole intent of gaining wealth on someone else's back. Furthermore, this douchebag will act as a bringer of justice, purveyor of evil, cleanser of the Noticeboard; even though he knows that what he is doing is unethical.

Conclusion: in the end, who can blame these douchebags? everything is permitted in the name of all that is holy, WEALTH; much like real life, go figure.

*douchbag (general term, used by me in this post, for a certain group of people, that unfortunately has access to online games, and the internet)
