Yeah attack the problem, with another problem. Thats great. Not quite. Considering a game that is based mostly upon the trading of items, the trade functionality in PoE is atrocious. It's probably a call-back to Diablo 2. I used to do my trading that way. Make a game called "WTB Stormshield" and then just kill stuff. If someone shows up with a Stormshield for trade, awesome. If someone shows up to just kill stuff with me, also awesome. If no one shows up at all, less awesome, but still acceptable.

I think people have a beef about someone else getting a 'free map' or something. If people were a bit more sociable, and simply asked "Hey, may I join your on your map?" I think things would go over better.

Also, if trading is so atrocious, then simply don't trade. I'm poor as dirt because I refuse to sit in trade chat, and I can't be arsed to use http://poe.xyz.is/ to find an item, pm the person, maybe meet up in game some unknown length of time later, etc., etc., etc. An in-game auction house isn't feasible since the game doesn't know a bid of 45 chaos is more than 1 exalted. It would only work for buyouts.

Alright, listen. If you "invade" maps and go run the map, I'm fine with that. Game gives you the option. If you "invade" maps and go burn all of someones portals just to be a dick or go cull their map with voidhome, you are being a dick, you can't really deny that. It's not any different than trying to fuck someone over in trade chat, except that you don't even get something out of it.
