That is because Diablo 3 was primarily designed for consoles. This designment choice was taken well before the game arrived on pc. The hints were there but yeah some people are just blinded by love. The Alan Wake game that was announced way back in 2005 with an open world Twin Peaks setting. Somewhere during development the focus totally shifted. It started as a pc exclusive. In 2010 it ended as a linear thriller-shooter which first arrived on xbox 360.

Maybe you should lower your expectations in terms of drops. I bet you get decent drops but your standards are way too high because your vision is thwarted.
