WIll POE Match D3
It's obvious. Diablo 3 and POE aren't really comparable other than item acquisition and rng layout systems. However, when Reap of Souls launches in the new year, I'll be right there. The gear in 2.0 is absolutely spectacular, and if I play for 3-4 hours; I get rewarded! Does anyone still care good gear doesn't drop here, does anyone think it will change? I played since closed beta and left because of the horrible drop rates. Do people expect those rates to improve, or are you all content?

Drop rates are fine in POE. Where as in D3 they are stupidly high. Loot 2.0 looks awful, it looks like it will rewards the babies with free legendaries so they can faceroll through the game and get bored within a week. RoS has no long-term goals, even with a ladder it would be boring as hell. Kripp got bored in a few days and he is still playing Hearthstone...... Athene has made videos about the lack of endgame, etc. Only a Blizz fanboy would think RoS is going to really change anything other than removing any longevity from the game. Just like what they have done in the past with monster power, uber bosses, etc, it's just a bunch of petty distractions, the game is still fundamentally broken.

I actually took the time to watch some youtube videos of the RoS beta and it is the same disappointment as D3 vanilla was. If i wanted to play WoW i would. Stop trying to push that decision on me like that blizzard.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready. Last edited by Pyrokar#6587 on Dec 21, 2013, 12:08:19 PM

" You are in the substantial minority with this opinion. Assuming you mean the drop of good/useful items, and not just "anything dropping." I agree, more than enough stuff drops. If your goal is to see white, blue, and yellow letters on the screen, that's fine. Last edited by simnel#1762 on Dec 21, 2013, 12:09:53 PM

Great drops in RoS also means you will probably get bored after 1-2 weeks since D3 has no depth regarding character customization.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

I like drop rates in poe, and i hope d3 doesnt turn into a casual game like it is now in beta.

D3 has too much droprate, but since Legendaries are Bind On Account, it makes sense. But after playing for a month, you'll have every Legendary in RoS, and steam roll all content.
Then you'll come back to PoE cuz you got bored.. EA IGN: We_Have_Monk_at_Home
