Why is GGG caving in to casuals' demands?

I see it happen all the time more and more. I had over 6 months break from this game and it has gotten 200% easier after I left. The reason? GGG has caved in for the casuals' demands about permanent loot, etc. nonsense that makes the game so much easier.

GGG seeing all these "active" threads (in reality it's 1 or 2 loudmouth demanders shouting to each other) thinks that these are somehow issues that "need" to be fixed. Well they aren't. The game was/is good when it's hard and the more casual demands go through, the more people who want to play PoE for the challenge are pushed away.

Why is GGG caving in to please the flimsy casuals who we all know will abandon this game the instant their instant-gratification meter is full? I hope the answer isn't that they are stupid, because I'm quite sure they aren't. Is it the money?

Discuss.
# of casuals with money is much larger than # of non-casuals with money
They have to balance it out from completely hardcore to moderately difficult eventually. If you still a good challenging experience go play on the ladder to be competitive.

It's still a company that has to make money.

Your stance is still offensive though.

Just a quick question:
How does permanent loot make this game easier?
I don't see what they changed to make it easier.
whats the problem with Perma Alloc. As an eva/dodge ranger i would find it extremely unfair that the tank would get such a massive benefit in that sense, obv i could go point blank and then sort of it would make sense to face tank the boss in order to get the loot allocated to me but with situations where there is a mob/minions around the boss i would just end up losing all the good loot to the tanks :/ so for me PA is the only way, not to mention i like the ranged play style, always have..
What the fuck OP is complaining about PA I am beyond astonished right now literally.

Indeed.
GGG should be balancing their game around those that don't play it.

Spread the gospel.
Many lewt.
Much desync.
Such rewarding.
Wow.
According to forum mods "sandwich" is considered an offensive word. Who knew?
Agree, the game has become totally casual. GGG cavin' much! For example:

1.) You can party with / get carried by others and this makes the content a total faceroll. Content its not even a challenge worthy your time. It's also practically impossible to die in party, except by technical issues.

2.) When you need something, a piece of gear or a gem, you just buy it. Instant gratification trading - totally casual!! We dont take kindly to casuals here, D3 is that way -->>

3.) In so called hurrdurrcore, when a top streamer dies, he just sells his gear for cross-league exalts, and with the help of his buddies (and possibly a pinch of RMT magic) is back on top farmin' maps the very next day.

...wait a minute...

Oh, noes! The game was always designed for casuals!!
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness

I wondered about that, too. If anything, that makes the game more social. Back in D2 it was always super annoying if you did Baal runs with randoms and everyone stopped fighting and started spamming left clicks when the boss was almost dead. I'm glad PoE offers a better system, if players choose to use it.

It's ironic. Half the posts here complain about the game being too casual, the other half that the game is too hardcore, too random, too time-consuming. It would seem that the current situation makes a good compromise.
