So I'm level 85 and farm maps..

ya I'm still not sure if good unique drops can happen in maps. But I have gotten alot from Dom and Piety.


One thing I know for sure is that all of those unique maps, any unique that's gonna drop is going to be a shitty one that you vendor.

If you want items, farm Dom or Piety. You probably aren't going to get it on maps.

There will always be an incentive to farm high level maps over dominus/piety because the higher maps have better item affixes and you have a chance to get high-end uniques.

A lot of people don't like the fact that pretty much every map from 76 and below is worthless to run though because the top tier mods don't start showing up until 77 and 78. 73/74 have some good tiers though.

I dunno though. I still think that ideally you want to farm Piety/Dominus nonstop for items until you are comfortably wealthy. Then you just run higher maps for top tier items and experience.

Well, probably not. What you do should have some noticeable effect on the outcome. Otherwise I might as well get a dog to jump on my keyboard and farm exalts.

The tiered ones dont have any higher chance to drop, though. Look at Mathil, he soloed to 95 and didn't find a single one of them. I've run tons of them haven't gotten a single one of them. There are groups doing 75-78 all day, and not getting any of the tiered ones. It's silly.

So it looks like it's the norm, well I think GGG should really adjusts the droprates inside maps then. Doing countless runs and get nothing it is very, very frustrating.

Maps are supposed to be Endgame content, they should be more rewarding than standard lvl 66-67 act3 zones.

This is my opinion, and my experience with maps. Lot of frustration, sadly.

There a point where random because game quit-tingly frustrating and more and more people are reaching that point people will not grind for ever for no reward just take that on board next time chris ignores your forums feedback session(if they even ask you at all that is)

And to destro there are no tiers with loot drops only mod levels which end at level 72 apart from a few at 76(mainly on rings)

Yes they do. In fact, their chance to drop is infinitely higher.

You can't get level 78 es hybrid roll at Lunaris 3 piety. That's just how it is. If you want that roll, you need ilvl 78 map content (76 boss, 77 champs/boss, 78 anything). The chance for high level affixes (77+) to drop is infinitely higher than in 68 areas since the 77 affixes are unable to drop in content that low at all.

You guys have never found a single good rare with high ilvl stats before? That sounds really unlucky.

If you're talking about an item with 4 top bracket stats (an armor chest with high ar, ar%, life, and a high resist), then I'm not surprised that you guys haven't found a rare like that. An item like that is a lottery drop. But my point is, if you do high maps you're playing in the lottery. You have the chance to get it whereas in a 68 area you don't.

So yeah, it's unlikely, but that's the nature of a lottery. :D

Only the rich or ultra lucky can even run those maps period. Not like a lottery, just has a lottery esque drop rate.

More like a casino where all the machines are rigged against you.

Ive gotten stuck at 86/85 twice and quit because of the hours I put in, id easily be level 91+, but instead i get raped by RNG, get no upgrades because i spend them on/rolling maps, and what im left with is disappointment and a sad hollow shell of what would be an awesome game.
