So I'm level 85 and farm maps..

..when I feel like using some alchs/chisels/chaoses to get some decent exp.
Then I go farm Dominus, Lunaris and Piety for items and currency drops, since I get way more from that than maps.
So far I dropped 6 Exalts and 1 Divine, all of them from Lunaris Temple.
As for items drops, well I haven't got any of the uber-expensive drops yet, but several decent (best sale 1ex 5c), all from Dominus and Piety.

Fact is, I drop close to nothing in maps. I spend currency on maps, alchs and sometimes chaos if the rolls are too bad, and come out with empty hands.
So for me maps until now have been nothing more than a currency sink, and place to exp.

When I started mapping, at around level 70, I was like "wow 55% more quantity, gonna drop so much more stuff" yeah right. Now I'm like "wow 100% more quantity LET'S HOPE I drop an higher level map for better exp".

So, am I just unlucky? Maps hate me?

lvl 85, farming 70-74 maps (don't have higher), 80-120% IIR.

no fucking way that running a map with 3 times the quantity only drops 1 map versus a map with 30% which dropped 4

I play poker and if poker followed the RNG (variance) of POE, I'd prolly quit poker.

Im stuck at lvl 84 since only maps I get to drop are 69 or 68's.... even chiseled and alched 70-90%

Ran 4 100%+ quantity lv 71 maps, all end up with crap

played a white lv 66 and end up with more rares than 4 maps added together.

I guess my RNG just suck

In practice you won't see a huge difference between a 1-in-1000 chance of something happening and a 1-in-250 chance of it happening, until you've tried quite a few times.

Meaning that if you ran, say, 50 maps at +100% quantity, and 50 maps at 0% quantity, I bet you'd notice the difference.

Same here, lvl 85 and Get zip all from maps, to the point I am getting fed up with the game. Being that high level and only Get cockblocked by the shitty map system does not motivates me to grind further.

What is the rewarding part of getting this high, certainly not the map drops or uniques

Either improve high lvl map drops or make piety/dominus give xp
