Seconded. This is how it should be. Luxury items are for people who can afford the luxury. That is kind of what the word means.

Except the wetas. 3 different sizes say to me 3 different prices.

Compeltely unnacceptable prices.

Its so bullshit and greedy that pet can cost full game price (Torchlight 2 for example amnd many more PC titles including older AAA) or month subscription to MMO (15$ usually).

Anything more that 5$ per pet is just too much and i will not but them. BEcause things like that are ridicolously overpriced (just look at Mervel Heroes preorder packs for example).

But we will wait and see official prices. But i think GGG will be just as greedy alike any other company.

I found this post a little upsetting. Pets like these are one of the few things that we're allowed to sell with our "no pay-to-win" policy, so we do need to make money from them.

There will be a variety of pet prices. Some will be cheap, some will be expensive and some will be very expensive.

Also Kiwis aren't $25, the price of them are unknown really since they are in a bundle that includes $25 worth of points. One could say actually that Kiwis are worth $0, but that is obviously wrong as well.
Having lots of items regulardly added at small prices is exciting so you keep watching for the latest available gizmos.

It's about expectations I guess. Do you also expect to find "diamond" priced, exclusive items that only very few people will spend on, in the cash shop?

Not me. PoE is one of the few games I'd consider spending on (I bought a few stashes atm), but not if the same logic of super expensive tiers is applied to the open beta. I don't want to play a game where the rich are able to show off their wares. I want to play a game where everyone's on the same level, and if you have money you buy MORE goodies instead of ONE SUPER EXPENSIVE goody that shows everyone you're lucky in life.

I think that does make some sense...

Turbine asks will you buy vanity item for 50$?

Just read this... most of ppl in this thread are fans of the game and longtime suportes with lifetime subs (its test server forum).

Most ppl in this tread are delusional.

When average player that come to game tomorrow anter item shop and will see prices like 25, 50 (or even 1k lol!) - he will just laugh and will not buy anything.

Man, all these posts. I don't remember seeing things like this happen in the forums before PoE got a lot of attention, those were the good days. There has been an increase in irrelevant whining posts these past few days.

Yes but this is a videogame. People play games to take a break from the daily treadmill.

That's why a lot of people resent F2P. It brings the daily treadmill and the class segregation into games.

We don't need luxury items. Just reasonably priced tiers where ANYONE can afford ANYTHING (eg. any individual item less than 20$), but if you have lots of money to spend, you can buy MORE.

I expect there to be pets costing in excess of $500. And why not? It's not greed to make something available.. it's presenting a means of support with a price point that determines the rarity in game.

Some will pay $500 for a pet. Others will pay $500 just to support GGG and see that there just happens to be a $500 pet to spend their points on -a pet that few people will have. Either way, GGG gets much needed support and nobody loses.

I'm working on an interesting pet that I'd love to see in the game and I'd expect at least a couple variants to be at the high end of pricing that I'm talking about. Just have to brush up on my Gimp skills a bit (or perhaps just sketch it and snap a picture).

Well, hopefully I don't get used to seeing this a lot......otherwise I may need to bring out my kiwi to finish the job, and you DO NOT WANT TO SEE MA BABY KIWI go....... kiwi in the forum.

On the serious note, we will try our best to preserve the community being a great place to hang out and discuss with one another along with in-game as well.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Well people likes to have cosmetics, that isn't for everyone. So it's logical to make some expensive ones - just like the diamond pack.
