D3's logic in POE

RoS looks terrible, they aren't fixing anything. D3 is trash.

They're fixing lots of stuff. The issue is that that stuff should have been in the base game.
D3 has great combat, but that's about as far as it goes. Hopefully they can fix all the issues by the end of the game's lifespan or at least learn and make a great D4.

PoE not only has much better loot than Diablo 3, grinding for it is more fun as well. Where D3 drops were 99% crap, PoE rewards me with a breadcrumb trail of goodies every time I play. I'm also not spoiled on trading for awesome gear; the stuff I find and craft is good but it doesn't overpower my character.

Seriously, PoE's items rock--the comparison to D3 is ludicrous.

You must be playing a completely different game then if you were able to acquire so many 'good' gears after playing less than a month.

Veteran players know there are very strict requirements for a gear to be good at high level, and it takes incredibly luck to get a couple of them with good roll range on a single gear because there are so many junk affixes and no floor on what level of affixes you can get no matter your item level.

Your premise that the loot is terrible comes from trading. If you don't trade, the loot is fine. Once you trade for a "good" item, the "good" items from the game now look like crap. It's your choice. You either play the game with traded items or you play the game self found. My advice... try playing self found before you blame the game. It's a lot more rewarding.

I played self found until the end of cruel. Had to trade because loot drops weren't upgrades and orb gambling netted me gear that were downgrades. It's sad that using orbs for trading was much more rewarding than using it for gambling.

edit: I understand the OP's point because I found the exact same problem with D3, and it was the reason why I quit that game not long after launch. Playing the AH was far more rewarding than actually playing the game. I'm disappointed that POE is going down a similar path, where trading is far more rewarding than actually playing the game.

For all the ppl that posted replies with -- THE LOOT IS FINE , i have just 1 thing to say...
I've looked to all of your profiles. NONE of you is even close to lvl 80.
I fought the same thing until I hit lvl 85. Please come back after you make it that far and maintain your opinion about good loot and self-found.

PS -- Don't even dare to tell me to re-roll. I can't re-roll because i didn't finish with this char yet. The build is week, the content i play is low and the gear is terrible. I want to make my char great before i start another one.
Starting 10 chars and making 3 acts x 3 difficulties just to do the same thing without reaching any goals is useless....

Funny, I didn't find any items the last 3 weeks, have to trade everything.
Finding currency is boring, it's the same as farming gold in Diablo 3.

Speak for yourself. I didn't care about Gold farming in D3. It was just there.

Orbs now... I get a mini heart attack each time I hear the ping of an orb dropping.

Love dem Chaos drops from Piety farming.

PoE has a hardcore crowd.

"Good" means either perfect or close to perfect gear here. With so many variables of course that kind of gear is extremely hard to obtain.

You don't need high end gear to go through vast majority of the game's content, so it's not a problem.

I think they should buff drop rates. Because the only way to get gear in this game is to trade for it.

This is true though. It makes for a weird gaming experience. Using orbs on anything that's not a high lvl / high ilvl item base is wasting currency.

So players are forced to just sit on their orbs until lvl 70 before they can use them efficiently. Sure, they can use them on lower lvl items but that's the same as burning money.
