Solo Self-found end-game

Nobody wants the whole carrot at once - but not getting any carrot at all is plain stupid and boring.

Same problem as Diablo 3, you can grind 300+ hours and still having shitty gear (and he hasn't even played a 70+ map so he can't say he can play endgame content) or you can trade and get 100x better items but wasting 20+ hours in trade channels.

Both is NOT FUN. And in a game FUN is everything.

I feel like I got a big bite when my near perfect Kaom's Primacy dropped in a 66 map. But maybe it's just me.

I play since start of OB with way more than 335hs and a shitty Kaom's Primacy is the best 2-hander I got. But maybe it's just me.

Reading new threads about drop rate issues all day long it seems that there are enough people who didn't get anything.

So yeah, you got lucky, I got nothing since Closed Beta and many other people too as you can read in several threads.

I got so lucky to trade the highest physical dps claw available in the market for 15 chaos or so AND IT STILL SUCKS (2,2k Reave DPS with lvl 67) but no high physical dps claws are sold.
Maybe there are 2-3 new now, but can I afford them? Nope

Does anything drop? Nope
Crafting? Haha yeah, with 1-2k fusings for a 6L it's cheaper to install Diablo 2 again.
There was no big gear check and you could grind but you didn't have too, I played selffound hardcore in D2, can't do the same in PoE.

People get lucky, don't complain or be envious about other people luck and be happy with what you have otherwise you'll never be happy with playing an RPG.

There are people who 6 link in like 5 fusings, also once you get a 6 link you have the best thing in the game. There is nothing above that, so by far it should be hard to get. Everyone can can get a 4 link and with a little effort you can get a 5link.

Also why do people act like D2 is an amazing solo self-found game.

In both PoE and D2:

1. You can beat the game with self found/crafted gear
2. Level progress is about the same
3. You'll almost never find the top end/best stuff or higher end stuff unless you party or trade your way up to them.
4. But you always constantly find small upgrades or legendaries or items that you can use for other characters,

My claw has ~175 physical dps + 77dps lighting damage, your claw has 189,88 dps physical + resi, not bad.

15+ chaos if the prices hasn't changed.

1"Beat the game" = maps and I can't play maps (or find one) selffound because my gear sucks too much.
3. is not true, depending on the build you could find the best item for your build in act 1 normal.
4. I haven't find a single upgrade to my gear in the last 3 weeks and I farmed act 2 merci (because I don't have the gear for act 3 merci with lvl 67 because nothing drops).

So no, PoE is not even close to Diablo 2.

his claw isn't whetstoned, it will have 20% higher dps

Just because "your current gear sucks" does not mean you can't beat the game playing self found/crafted gear.

Okay link your gear and how long have you been playing for. Don't tell me that your using a build that requires a bringer of rain or extremely specific gear that you'll almost never find yourself which is what i am referring to number 3.

Okay how long do you expect to find the game. How often do you want to find upgrades, do you want to beat level 78 maps within a map of self play solo found? 2 weeks? half a year?
