Voting for the quiver.

Cool idea, and as some have said, it adds something new and interesting to the game. It still needs work, but it's the most promising option listed.

Necromantic Haste - Light Quiver
(15-25)% chance to consume a Frenzy Charge to summon a skeleton on hit
(15-25)% Chance to summon a zombie on kill
Your skeletons and zombies are supported by support gems in your bow
+(3-5) maximum skeletons
+(3-5) maximum zombies
You cannot have minions except those summoned by this weapon

Sounds preety ok.
I would adjust something else here:

Your skeletons and zombies are supported by support gems in your quiver!!!

Add a fixed amount of white sockets into quiver (like 1 or 2 max) to make it even more original.
This will give the players a chance to choose how would they like to help their minions :)
Just my two cents...
Huh. I wasn't aware that we could design Exiles for the custom unique - seems more in the line of the custom Monster you'd get out of a Ruler of Wraeclast pack... *shrugs* I think this is the coolest idea though, so it gets my vote.
The only way this sword would go through I feel is if it had some effect like RT (ie you burn for % HP per sec).
I could never support that exile. It looks to me like an attempt to "get even" with melee builds because GGG introduced an enemy that makes ranged characters put themselves in harm's way (the place where melee lives already). Giving him an innate chance to RNG your weapon out of existence is way too heavy handed, no matter how small the chance, in my opinion. Props for the thought that went into it, not so much for the seeming malice and spite that appears to have motivated it.

As far as the sword goes, I can see it to the extent that people playing an ARPG tend to love doing massive damage. Apart from that, though, it seems a bit uninspired.

The quiver, on the other hand, I actually like. As has been mentioned, it adds a new option to the game play. I don't think the minions should be supported, though. I think they should simply serve as cannon fodder. Even as unsupported sacrifices, though, this quiver may be considered a step too far in the eyes of GGG in that it removes even more of the risk associated with playing a ranged character.
Quiver needs a tweak or two to eliminate massive Bringer-of-Bones style fps breaking (especially with chained skills) but it's by far the best.
Read my book! The world ending in every way anyone ever thought it might end, all at once. First few chapters are available online for free.

Many thanks Thaelyn, please be rest assured there was no malice in the thought process, The idea came from seeing so many players dead set on relying on their GG weapons and not even contemplating looking for a seperate/situational change in playstyle.

I understand of course that many members of the community relish the effort that they have in the equipment that they have sourced and there is a simple answer to all in the tackling of the fight.

There is no risk of loss to ranged or magic, neither too for unarmed persons - for those who are melee weapon based then a swap from inventory, a shuffle of gems and they're still a force to be reckoned with but are not dependent on their 400+ dps Smashatron or 40,000 hits per second rapier.

The idea was formulated on my own main toon - I ran around and relied on my Soul Taker for everything. So one day I just thought - sod it and sold the Axe... Gone was the dependency, a few changes to the skill pathing and I was a much more versatile melee fighter.

I'm an old gamer, back in the day you had 3 lives, when they were gone you started at the beginning again and grew to be a better player in order to progress. Gaming nowadays (especially in the standard league) has very little actual challenge - hence the timer on the exile. Older crafting games used to have a chance to destroy your item etc etc there was risk involved in the gamble and it was the players choice whether to engage in the action. Those who play self-found/HC and actually delete their toons when they are retired have my up-most kudos.

I'm not QQ'ing any of the comments made in the thread that have been directed at my initial thought for an exile, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that. All I do ask is that people look at the alternatives available to actually make the game challenging and fun.

Personally I love the quiver and am not lying in saying that it will get my vote as personal integrity states that I would never vote for myself.

Make a lighting version of searing touch/taryns shiver
30-50 spell dmg
30-50 cold dmg
10% chance to shock or 10% more damage per shock stack
10-20% increased cast speed
