[Athene] Path Of Exile = Pay 2 Win

Whenever you have a game that has a trading system through ingame (AH) or outside (3rd party) there will always be some sort of pay2win even though the devs do not support it. All the devs can do to support is to ban the use of websites like poe.xyz or w/e its called and punish players who try to sell stuff for real money.

Really if you dont want your game to be pay2win then you either have no trading at all in the game (BoA) or have a single player game, so pick one or dont complain being pay2win even though its not.

It's indirect P2W. Check my post at bottom of first page. It's not P2W directly, it's P2W through RMTing. This isn't GGG's fault per se, it's goes deeper than that; it's all due to PoE being competitive and grindy.

First Video of Athene i watched which is informative and he is right.

He states that POE isnt intended or designed to be P2W, but the grindfest it can become makes it "You CAN, but arent forced to, P2W" through RMT. You realy should watch that Vid and try to get his core statement, which I find to be true.

QFT. Finally, someone who looks at information and doesn't dismiss it just because they don't like / want to know the information.

The way Items and Gear work in POE , makes his point viable.

Everyone who just calls this a troll, doesnt see the problem. Good Items never leave the economy. In MMOs or RoS this problem is handled with making Items be Bound to Account or Characters on certain Actions.

And to be honest i think some sort of Bound Mechancis would be good for POE , for example once you eternal and item it becomes BoA, or when you Exalt it. I wouldnt mind certain Uniques to be Bound to Account to.

This solves 2 Problems:

- RMT isnt as effective as right now , have those Credit card too bad those Godly Crafted Items wont come to you (Mirrors exculded but theres just so many Mirrors)

- Trading is less Important and PLAYING THE GAME is the best way to play.
right now you can easily just farm Piety and sell all those Uniques and just buy high Level Maps. If Soultaker / BoR and some other Items where Soulbound, playing Maps would be the best way to progress in Maps and not playing the Trade Chat.

That would be a true Hardcore aRPG , a Game that forces you to be played and not take silly shortcuts with Trading.

The video title is a bit misleading. GGG can't control 3rd party websites and what they do.
