Desync in PoE vs other games

I have yet to level a character to map level since then because I just can't get in the right mood to push forward again. Every build I try to plan on the passive tree doesn't meet what I want and so I just keep trying to think of a build. I can't start a character until I know what I want to do. What I wanted was to play my spectral throw dude, but I can't bring myself to play a weaker version of what I already had for the 3rd time (first guy dying was my fault).


wow best coincidence ever.. i posted this thread because i died IN SAME WAY and before i died i spet all my chaos to buy best sword and equitment then same thing happened to me.. except i was in room with no mobs then suddenly bam bam dead and i teleported 2 rooms back -.- it was huge desync.
Can someone please tell me where this magical "De-Sync" term comes from? Oh that's right it was made to make excuses and keep you from realizing...


They made it purposely, to keep hardcore character's dying and add unfair toughness to an #ezwinezlife game.

Coincidentally they also provide the command to "temporarily" fix the problem.

I mean come on, are you really going to tell me it's just a coincidence you die from this only when a large mob is around or a small group of dangerous ones.

It's really simple, create the bait of faster leveling/movement/killing and you die. Very similar to the dealer telling you Meth is good.

i see you have not been there yet. but when you will spend 2 days (full gameplay on charakter 48hours) and die cause of desync then you will come back and will start to cry. Belive me.. when i started playing game i was like desync? nah.. then i started to see some little lag, and i was like "huh gota turn my torrent off" then after week-2 i was farming vaal and bam that kind of desync.. you can't even alt f4 cause you are in a empty room and your life bumping down and suddenly you die, then you desync 2 rooms back. I don't care about little desync but hude desyncs like that are awfull. I dont wan't to even mention how many people died in merciless in act 2 while killing vaal..

i am not bashing POE, i love POE and i believe that GGG has made a truly great game, hence why i would love to see the desync/ lag issue fixed. ive never played a game with this much desync. like it or not, fixing the desync/lag will do nothing but encourage people to play more, which means more money, ect...

i understand that with the release there are more players, which is leading to more server use and ultimately more desync. but GGG, as far as i know, haven't said anything about trying to fix it... all i have heard is "no offline single player, cause you can cheat"... but that doesn't mean they cant do anything to TRY to make it better.

from my point of view, the biggest issue with desync is that certain players/people tell you its your fault...
like its my fault my internet sucks... like i can control if my internet/ggg server decides to be stupid for 5-10 seconds and i die, or end up 2 rooms down the hall for no reason.
and i personally hate it when HC players say "i have no pity for you cause i play HC"...but,umm well doesn't that make you the dumb one for making a HC char on a game that you knew you were going to eventually lag die in?
sorry, nothing against HC players. point is, desync messes stuff up for everyone and it doesn't help when people basically insult other people based on if they play HC or not...cause you know some of us have jobs and simply cant dedicate the same amount into a game

its just this attitude of its your fault not ours that's ridiculous.
i get that you don't want people cheating, but there has to be some middle ground here.
Been playing for sometime, had to quit playing for a long time just because of the desync - all my friends quit playing also and before me.

What is sad to me about this is so many skills you cant use that make the desync even worse and not even playable. Really limits ur builds, just destroys the game experience.

I came back after the release, still playing having fun, really disappointed with the desync still but nothing I can do about it.

It will kill the game for the masses people wont settle for all these problems and not beable to use alot of skills and such, racing is a joke as you run thur mobs you get snap backed in to grps and die what do you get then 1-3 points if your lucky ? bad bad bad.

I love the game hope it gets fixed, not excited dont think it really going to happen anytime soon.

Ill just keep playing and giving money to other games, Ill keep playing poe here and there but I cant even guess how much this is hurting the game. I know ALL my friends have quit and dont even want to here about any updates or even talk about the game at all.

Maybe GGG can sell the game then and im sure only then would it get fixed.
