No.
I remember having died numerous times to my character still being in game after I exited.
I also remember the rollbacks very well, PoE servers are much more stable in that regard.
Oh and waiting in line to play a game... overall now that I think about it, the servers just werent enough.

Oh, and Ubers and Uber D... a really big portion of the games crashed. We had a few "failsafes" such as standing in one game for x minutes before opening portals to make sure the game would not cease to exist once we crashed but sometimes it failed too.

Overall different problems, but D2 definitely had problems. Both great games though and worth their troubles.
Oblivious

Yeah, and there is absolutely desync in D2 and D3 as well. It may not be as severe or gamebreaking as desync in PoE is for some people, but it is absolutely there. It will exist in ANY online game. For me at least, it's not even THAT bad in PoE anymore.

Yeah, tis not that bad if you know what causes it, unless in very fast maps, I was in a Mud geysers Turbo map the other day on one month, this is with onslaught going... I saw bone rhoas, croacking chimeras and those corpse-eating birds teleporting everywhere due to how fast they were... Scary... They werent teleporting all the times, but they did it quite a bit. I eventually chickened out when failed to run from 2 chimeras and was out of flasks.

Yep, Diablo 2 had desync on battle.net It was frequently abused in pvp. Anyone telling you otherwise is generally clueless. The degree of desync was definitely less. I'm guessing this had to do with how much of the client was exposed which would explain how prominent the hacks were.
I'll never figure what you fanbois are arguing against desync for.

Even comparing it to a 15 year old game, where multiplayer was uncommon, it still has bigger desync issues.

Mentioning hacks and other games having desync has nothing to do with the issues. It's a whole different beast in PoE and is pretty appearent... Mobas, d3, titans, marvel have no cheats/hacks afaik, and the gameplay is smoother.

Avoiding using certain skills, being careful around doorways and having a /oos macro is not a solution, it just shows how bad the problem is.

Alot of people have issues with it... In my case, after tons of hours of playtime, i've kinda gotten used to it as well, but i'd love to see it go, and not having to worry about it.

I played a ton of mmo games of any kind, and desync wasnt bother me at all, never posted anywhere anything about it, or searched how to fix it, but in PoE hmm that is total different story it is imminent for everyday playtime and that is fact.
That problem makes HC repulsive and it is one big hole in pretty nice game.

Some effort to fix it would mean more to me then new 4 month league with old bad code.
D2 didn't have desync hardly at all but games crashed fairly often and so did the client.

Can't tell you how many uber's in d2 I lost via the game just randomly crashing.

Also there was a llot less info being processed in d2 more info = more chance for shiz to go wrong.
