@GGG: Why do low level uniques (legendaries) drop at high level?!
this is just retarded there is like 100 or 200 unique items WOW GREAT so they can spam how epic this game is but then you realize that only like 10 of them are any good and all the rest is so fucking shit crap or items that are so fucking specific that only some builds will use them OHH WAIT NO ONE WILL USE THEM BECAUSE PEOPLE PLAY ONLY OP BUILDS THAT DONT USE THOSE ITEMS so yea and obviously the 10 good items have like 6000 times lover drop chance this game is SOOOOOOOOOO GREAT

I am actually happy with the drops.
There are tons of low level uniques which can be used by the highest level characters with specific builds. I am currently playing an Explosive arrow build using Quill rain short bow which is a basic bow. It is ilvl67 means it has dropped in Merciless difficulty. I have it 6 linked and people already offering more than 10 exalted orbs for it in Doination league.

My other lvl 72 character which is based on lifesteal/manasteal and endurance charges uses Kaoms Signet rings and Wurms Molt belt.

And i could continue like this for a very long time - Dream Fragment, Andvarius, Perendus Signet,Astramentis and Carnage hearth are another great examples which are worth a fortune. So if you people dont understand the items, the game and builds and just came here recently with the official release just stop bitching or leave. You make yourself look stupid. |

" Good luck dude, I have periodically complained about this since closed beta. Back then Mark gave me a short (respectful) lecture that they dropped low lvl uniques in maps to give players a chance at getting those uniques at a higher item level so that they could roll more sockets. I accepted this explanation but quickly decided that it was not a good excuse and they could make a better system. Your going to have to get used to find tiki amulets over and over again (or some other garbage drop that you have already found a lot). Standard Forever

With the way uniques drop, that's more or less what would happen if you took the low level ones out of high level loot tables. Nothing would change the rarity of the really godly uniques here. But then you'll want to reliably find Voltaxics and Kaom's every week because instead of finding some shitty/decent uniques here and there, you're just not getting any. Then the game becomes piss easy and the economy gets flushed down the toilet and everybody complains about that. See the problem here? IGN: Smegmazoid

I would rather that the best gear for lvl 20 could be acquired in a lvl 20 area, not in lvl 65 area.
I think torchlight worked like that, but GGG wants PoE to be trade oriented so it is designed that way and kind of too late to change with all the ilvl system in place. |

I'd say Barry's post sums this whole issue up pretty well.
The issue isn't that the low level uniques can't be "good" at high level. It's that your standards for "good" are actually "the best fucking items in the game". IGN: Smegmazoid

That way when uniques drop its a lot more exciting instead of disappointing. You can't cover up the drop rate by dropping a ton of low lvl starter gear. It doesn't help.
