eternal lotteries = scam

Most lotteries are started with the intention to farm noobs and greaddy people , wether or not anyone wins is secondary.

The whole concept in itself is shady imo.

Why? Aren't the lotteries just people donating currency for a proposed crafting goal?
What's the difference between giving you an orb because I hope you'll be my friend and you will share your loot and waypoints with me, and giving you an orb because I hope it'll link your sockets and you'll give me a reward? If you gift something to another player or guild, you can't enforce what they do with your gift or that they should give you something in return.

I trusted kolp with the lottery and I'll trust people whose reputations I know. Which is pretty heavily skewed for sc mappers, but that's life.

Same applies to this as to fusings, if they aren't streaming you have to take their word for it.

There's no "if". What are you going to do if they're streaming and they don't give you the promised reward? Call the police?
You really think someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?
That's why you should never participate in a lottery unless there is a livestream associated with it and you can interact with the person in real time.
