First time I've heard anyone say that about it. As far as I can see, it's unquestionably an arpg, and that's what it's always been defined as.

I didn't say it wasn't a RPG, just not the ARPGs we know of today

Seriously though, I loved that game. In fact, I recognize the "reserved mana" mechanic from Titan Quest here in POE. I'm not sure if the devs did borrow from TQ, or if its just the logical extension of having "aura"s but nostalgia always hits when TQ is mentioned. I also played the expansion to death, but... well, online's dead for TQ now. No-one for me to show my gear to.

I'm not expert on gaming but I will say this.
During the time i played Diablo 3. I haved tried Torchlight 2 but came back to Diablo 3 due to being out range by enemy, and how enemy only start to appear when they're close enough if not they phase out.
And then i caught the name "Path of Exile" on one of the diablo 3 forum.
Seeing how it's a 10$ beta try why not!
I never want to play Diablo 3 again. Enough said.

I only play D3 for AH flipping. But thanks to a kind gent by the name of Isindel, I can now play PoE in a short while :)

i played D3 demo version, torchlight 2, d2, d1, path of exile ect. diablo 3 i did not like very much i hated the classes and it ran like hell on my machine. torchlight 2 was good, but as far as online experience i think path of exile is the new arpg. the arenas and instance system will encourage a strong pvp community (and better mannered than d2).

i think you guys did a very good job and kudos for the free release. i hope you guys reap enough donations to encourage you to keep doing what you are doing.

work hard on your patches and this game will dominate!

awesome game atmosphere is better than i expected its not simply "dark fantasy" like your trailers make it out to be.


i encourage people to donate/play THIS game instead of d3!! \/

So I played PoE for a short time...

AND WOW

I was blown away from the start from the D2 dark atmosphere and the voice acting.
After that, the gameplay is so reminiscent of D2's combat it felt so great.

I'm only level 4 but so far this is the best ARPG I've played.
