Edit: You know why Wilson said that about Brevik? The reason is they made the biggest & fastest selling pc game of all time! Wilson has a huge sense of pride in that & regardless of whether all the people who played it think it's the best game he does deserve 'some' credit. The man is only human & I would defy anyone here to do the same & not feel the same sense of pride. Blizz are a company, here in the capitalist world the goal of a company is to make money & in that regard Jay wilson has done a stellar job for Blizz. Now maybe as a fan who didn't like the game you don't give a shit that it made all that money cos it still sucks but that is your prerogative & not the primary reason for a company to make a game. Of course Blizz wants people to love their game, Wilson & crew 'thought' they were doing the right thing and from a financial aspect they did, from a fan's perspective they failed. People didn't get banned "for saying POE was a fun game". You know what they got banned for? Making threads like "D3 is a pile of shit, go play POE" in the general discussion. Blizzard have a section specifically to talk about none Blizz games but this is not where the POE threads were appearing. I can say from every POE thread I have seen not 1 of them was a)in the right section or b)wasn't just a "D3 is shit" thread.
No doubt that with the amount of players Blizz have made mistakes and banned for the wrong reason but I would guestimate that they don't make up a significant amount of people. I once again urge you to look at the state of the D3 forums, they are a sespit & I feel sorry for anyone having to wade through the pages of drivvel to go about moderating it all. Charan might think he has his work cut out with whining babies now but he should be thanking his lucky stars that he isn't responsible for the same over at the D3 camp, there is no greater nightmare to man nor beast. FireSkull, maybe next time you are writing about how Blizz ban everyone for doing nothing at all bear me in mind & add a little balance to your overwhelming bias. |

" There is no doubt that a significant amount of people bought D3 because they loved D2 & hoped for a worthy sequel but let's get real here, D3 had a metric ton of content & beta released well before the product hit the shelves. People theorycrafted the beta to the point of obsession so there is no excuse for people to say "I thought it was gonna be just like D2". If that's what happened to you then that is a mistake on your part to not do some research into a game from a franchise you claim to love so dearly before you buy it. |

Now you say you have never been banned on there I have to wonder where it is you are getting your info on people being banned though. Do you have friends who were banned or are you just going on hear say & have had no direct experience with said banning procedure? |
