Mind you, I have not played Diablo III, nor will I until I can buy the Battle Chest (game + expansion) for $30; the lack of builds was the first and only thing I heard about when I decided not to buy. But, based on second hand accounts, I will say I agree with ExileDude. At least in that what he says makes sense. I find it all to be a bit biased based on his opinion, but I can relate: Diablo II was a deeply flawed game, and we often do make it out to be much greater than it was, glossing over the negatives in favor of discussing the nostalgia.
It could have been a good vision that could have been the platform for good design decisions; but that just didn't happen. Case closed, Im going home. Best of luck in your future endeavors, Mr. Wilson, sorry it didn't work out for you this time. Devolving Wilds

Papercut you know as well as I do that there will continue to be threads about D3 and people will continue to talk about it. People can post what they want according to the rules so if it bothers you that much then you need to actively avoid it. Not tell people to quit talking about it.
That being said I don't feel the need to argue about it or convince people to not like it. The people who like it currently aren't going to change their minds at this point so there is no reason to argue with their opinion/reality. I posted this because I thought some people would like having all of the quotes together. Looks like Charan liked it so I guess I was right. I could stand it more if people talked about the game objectively but they don't. They like to gloss over the crap stuff in D2 but they gloss over all the decent stuff in D3 aswell. Yes D3 leaves a lot to be desired but just because D3 is bad doesn't make POE any better. POE has it's own set of problems & I would encourage people to discuss them here rather than bashing a game that has it's own set of problems.
If you feel you have suggestions as to how Blizz could make D3 better then feel free to go over to their forums & let them know but here I think we should focus more on the game at hand and try to point out it's shortcomings more. D3 has problems but so does POE. |

So maybe i should stop comparing. Better if they just renamed the game. Diablo 4 is going to be a kong fu arena game or something like that. We all know you have a serious chip on your shoulder about being banned from the D3 forums Fireskull but I would wager that you probably said some pretty heated stuff that caused it.
I have made tons of posts on the D3 forums & most of them bashing the game but you know what I did at the same time? I tried to offer reasons as to why I thought they made bad decisions in a rational way & without calling out Jay Wilson as a fucking douche nozzle. Blizz know they made mistakes with their game, they openly admit it & they are changing the game as a result. If the game will never live up to your expectations then that is YOUR problem & the adult thing to do would be to just move on and get on with doing things you do enjoy rather than lashing your acid tongue at D3 whenever it's mentioned. You know why D3 has an auction house? Cos of all the players who botted, duped, scripted & jsp'd their way to victory in D2. Blizz saw what was happening and thought "if you can't beat em', join em'" and took control of the money for their own game. The players are as much to blame for the shitsauce that is D3 as they put Blizz in the position of where they felt they were losing money to 3rd party sites. So next time you are slinging shit around remember to throw a little in your own face aswell. Edit: How do you think GGG will feel if POE takes off & items are being sold on JSP making 3rd parties just as much money as GGG are from selling cosmetic upgrades? You think people are gonna spend money on funky looking spells if the alternative is spending money on in game upgrades or currency from JSP? If that happens expect POE2 to have an auction house. " I never used a bot or hack in ANY game, and i did not even use the D3 forums at all. I have just read so many people getting banned for stupid and pointless reasons. Im not to be blamed for Blizzard hacking their own game AT ALL. It allmost sounds like you want PoE to be hacked and botfested. |

If you spend more than 5mins reading the D3 forums it's no wonder with the levels of retardation as to why so many people get banned, generally they are more than asking for it.
If you check my forum history you will see I am all about making life hard for botters ect but I also realise that games like these attract those undesirable people like a moth to a flame. If this game gets big then there is no doubt it will attract people looking for ways to make money from it. We have already seen corruption in races and unless GGG have some revolutionary tricks up their sleeve then that will just be the tip of the iceberg in terms of people trying to exploit the game.
