DIABLO III ?... HA! More like "DIABLO FAIL"
" I'd rather not link to my b.net profile here but I have a 60 WD, 60 barb, 40-ish wizard and DemonHunter. Never played the monk though. And my example is not ridiculous, you are just not able to understand it it seems. It doesn't matter if the player would chose a different build if he wants to support minions more, because then there would be the exact same decision and customization options for the player with skill points. I never said that a player that wants to play with minions and a player that wants to focus on offensive abilities have the same build. I started of with saying there is a given build X and then showed that with skill points, the players would be able to customize that build and put emphasize on their playstyle. Tbh. I get the feeling you don't play the game really and just troll, otherwise you wouldn't say silly things like there are more viable builds in D3 than in D2. PS: What's a good summoner build for the WD then? I think the build I just posted is used... pretty much all the time, sometimes zombie dogs is switched out for some other skill though if you want to go more offensive... |

" You probably leveled those characters 4-6 months ago then. " Then you would be wrong. It's hard to come up with a build that ISN'T viable in D3, and there are a lot more builds in D3 than in D2. So go figure. " I dunno, I don't play WD. |

Jay Wilson = Gharbad the Weak

" I know you meant well, but Gharbad the Weak is legendary, and truly involved in the original Diablo experience. Two things I am not sure apply to the other side of your equation. I can't believe how horridly entertaining these d3 threads are and how quickly they attract our pet d3 apologists. All three of them. I guess all the other true believers in Blizzard are off on their own Missions elsewhere...maybe we will see more come Open Beta. Off topic may be due for a serious boost in activity... If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" Let me assure you, it is more entertaining for me. Haters who have barely played the game fumbling over themselves to bash it? This is a gold mine. " I could really not care less what company that has made the game I'm playing. I'm a true believer in "don't let bias make you lose out on a fun gaming experience" and "Don't be a fanboy or hater". |

Lets be fair in my situation. I gave the game a fair shake and I didn't go into it with any kind of bias or fanboyism to any other game. I didn't know jack crap about Path of Exile until I was playing inferno on D3. I played enough D3 to know that I will never be happy with how the game has turned out. The changes that they have made mean nothing to me and my problems with the game. I resent being called a fanboy since IMO that implies that I am a fanboy to another game (Path of Exile) and that is the only reason I hate on D3. This is completely inaccurate. I was more excited and wanted to love D3 just as much as anyone else on the planet.
I don't post comments out of blind hate or fanboyism. It is how I feel about the game through my playing it from the day it came out. I realize some of my comments are a little out dated, therefore I will not argue about them anymore since I don't have the current experience to back them up. I suspect I would still say mostly the same things even if I did play it again. Oh well I have moved on. Edit: I only ever hated on Diabo 3 because of my love for the Diablo franchise. " http://xkcd.com/610/ I think something similiar to that picture describes the discussion pretty well. |

I find the term 'hater' one typically used by people who rarely have the occasion to enjoy healthy critical debate.
It's stupid to just hate something and then argue against it. What good is an opponent you can't respect? I played D3 first, and at first I did so with the same relish as I experienced with d1 and d2 prerelease. But what happened is an old story by now. That said, I think the combination of that other game's fallout and this game's...well, forum will produce little healthy critical debate. Zealots on both sides, sure, but I think PoE fans are probably more expected here than true fans of D3. The fact that you dislike haters and fanboys to such an extent as to risk becoming that which you are trying to combat is impressive. I don't think anyone here is letting bias guide them, given that we have all tried D3 one way or another. The question then is, how much? How much exposure is enough to grant one the right to comment? Probably far more than is required to decide whether or not you like it. And it's okay to dislike something you don't know much about. Far less okay to carry on about it instead of just finding something you do like and committing to that. Aaaaand here we are, on the forum for that very game. Whee! And yes, maybe part of that forum is, in the appropriate corner thereof, having a collective whinge about that other game. I think it would be far less interesting an event without you here, Sickness. But if not you, someone else would step up. Balance is important, and it's mostly you trying to keep it real against a tide of d3 apathy. Doing a pretty good job. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" Have you met FireSkull? The "if you enjoy D3 you can't be a true D2/ARPG fan" guy. " It becomes an issue when they state something that is incorrect and then stick to it no matter what. Like the "there is only 1-2 inferno viable builds" guy. " Well thank you. |

Spoiler
D3 is not even a real ARPG or a real diablo game. Would have been better if they just stated that it was an action game, and then removed skill tree and items completely.
