Fork

I thought this was implied but never seen anyone saying it, does the forked projectile always does 50% of the original projectile's damage ? If so, a mention on the gem description would be nice

Just got fork a few levels ago. A couple of observations:

1) It would be helpful if the description pointed out that the projectile forks when it hits an enemy.
2) The angle at which the projectile forks is pretty weird (wide), and seems to make it more difficult for a bow ranger to use. Maybe it's just me though.

No it does not.

And do froked projectiles fork again when they hit an enemy or do only original projectiles fork?

No, each projectile can only fork once, but if you have lets say lesser multiple projectiles and fork, you will fire 3 arrows and when each of them hit they will fork.

and cast knives+fork in a big group of enemies for some imba forking action :)
Here is is again; Can an enemy be hit multiple times by the forks? Otherwise, how darn big does the group have to be?

Ice spear + Fork is quite OP (PvE ofc).
The first state of ice spear will pierce and the second state will fork with all that extra critical.

I was wondering, if I link Ice Spear+pierce+fork, would it make so second state pierce as well and then the 3rd mob to be hit will fork? Oh my I'm logging right now to test it. brb

Does'nt work ^

When you roll pierce, it won't fork.
If you don't, it will. Fork, chain, and pierce are different ways for a projectile to continue, I thing a dev said that somewhere.

Which is why I ask if a forked projectile can hit an enemy that's already been hit by that 'attack' which normally can only hit each unique enemy once.
Edit: For Example Split Arrow or EK. Everyone says EK with fork is awesome, but if every enemy can only be hit once, it'd need more than 10 enemies before it does anything.

I can confirm that the first state of ice spear (it has pierce built in) will pierce and the second state (it has extra critical built in) will fork.

fork works very well with poison arrow, but, as previously stated, does not work very well with pierce,. It also only forks once with LMP. On the angle when it does fork, it works just fine with all of my bow users. You just have to have the right "Angle of Attack" to get it to be SO Much more effective,. I can gas an antire room with it. :)

i use it with eth knives, and i find it useless. i dont kill faster with it.

it seems like that i can hit an enemy only with one knife each time i cast. this makes fork pretty senceless.
