Your "All Time" Favourite PC game?

If I had to tell what is my favourite PC game, i'd say Bioshock. There are many others games that I like, but this one... this one is a real masterpiece.

I also loved Portal, mostly because I had the same feeling of being a puppet, trapped in some kind of insane game.

Oh this took me way back when people mentioned Grim Fandango. Had that on my first PC and it was such an amazing game. Had a hard time though - I was probably 8-9 and didn't really know any english so I got my dad to print a 20-30 page walkthrough. After this and Might and Magic 6 I was speaking english pretty good though.

And I probably will always remember Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2. Even though I only read Star Wars books and never understood thye fascination with it these two games are unforgettable for me.

I also see a lot of people mentioning Neverwinter Nights. Personally I found the story absolutetly amazing untill I finished the first chapter. After that for some reason it just felt pretty boring to me. It's still an amazing game but just something was not for me in it.

Well, let me start...

I've played games since playstation one, before that played gameboy.

At 2007 I get my frist pc, around 2009 I started Call of duty 4 with more 4 friends, it was only for fun, but we get damn good at it, and we go for professional/competitive gameplay. We won some cups/lans, than we got bored and I started on dotA1, after that League of Legends (1500 wins, 1500ELO and 90+champions) and dotA2, now I play D3 and im waiting for this game since I dont have a betakey.. But not talking about competive gameplay, I used to play Borderlands, CoD2, GTA SAMP, Farcry, MGSolid, even pokemon online lol


Not missing the point of this thread, my fav game is CoD4 or Diablo1.

If we go by pure play time, my favorite was Neverwinter Nights 1. I dumped about 4 years of my life into that game, off and on of course. The single player was alright, but the online was where it was at. Me and a few of my friends became legends on the City of Arabel server, if any of you know what that is. My brother even became a DM on that server for a little while.

NWN 2 was no where close to the original in my opinion. I bought it, played it for a week or two, then completely lost interest. Just didn't have the online community that the original had, but maybe I didn't stick around long enough.

Favourite would have to be Day of the Tentacle & the original DooMs (1,2 & Final DooMs).

No shooter has ever come close to the arcade action DooM provided. No shooter had the right combination and pure numbers of monsters to slaughter that DooM did. The weapon balance in deathmatch and single player was also perfection. Still my preferred shooter to this day. It's funny, the levels were also more open ended than so many new games now too. No bullshit movie introductions, no delays, no stupid story getting in the road, just straight into the action. How I wish that Rage had of gone down that path again without all the stupid racing and story bits.... Stupid Tim Willits... Let Lord Carmack make the game he wants to make.

Dishonourable mention to Starcraft. I wasted 3 years of my life playing that game online suffering video game addiction.

Starcraft, Diablo 2 (+ median xl mod), Age of Empires series, Heroes of Might and Magic 3+5.

Honestly I don't have an "All Time" favourite game.

If I DID have one it would one of my own design, probably a mmorpg or something.

Everything made by Spiderweb Software goes in for all time favorite game in my case, though I have a partial bias to Geneforge just because of the creativity of the setting.
