Your "All Time" Favourite PC game?

Oddly enough my favorite PC game was the Halflife mod Day of Defeat. I gave that game a good 5-6 years of play up until Day of Defeat Source came out and it was complete garbage. Second favorite would have to be X-COM: UFO Defense.

But you know RWTD_Burn, you can still play DoD 1.6 nowadays, there are still servers running and people paying the game...sometimes i still play it ;)

I am definitely dating myself here, but Master of Magic is hands down the best video game ever. It's the only game I have ever played for more than 12 hours straight. Pure fantasy geek crack cocaine. Second best is Tomb Raider. D2 followed by D1, then Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 4. Path of Exile has a chance to be one of the best ever IMO. It's already close and it's still in closed beta. If they can ever truly adress the de-synch and rubberbanding It will rule for a long long time.

Fallout 2 or NeverWinter Nights. I missed the original Fallout until recently when I went looking for it. Despite it being a great game I remember far more moments from no.2

Back when MMOs were about communities and not about spreadsheets. I could talk at length about the game, but it's soured my tastes for every MMO that has come after it because it did so much right.

I'd say Resident Evil (1). It was such an amazing experience back then. I was kind of new to the genre and this game really got me hooked.

This game was truly about exploration and survival - you never had enough ammo, you always tried to use the knife instead of your guns... such an amazing game.

I've played the other RE games up to Resident Evil 5. But times have changed... Resident Evil isn't a survival game anymore, it has become a generic Zombie shooter, unfortunately. :(
