Your "All Time" Favourite PC game?

For me it is some sort of online experiences instead of single player games.

-Silkroad online, horrible mmorpg in reality. bad support, korean grinding, bot filled servers, servers overcrowded with bots , need to wait hours to log in. But it was still amazing. We had a guild that were pure anti-bot. We would only party with our guild network , kill bots and try to keep it pure fair game. it only lasted for maybe a month if not less, but all those people that i played with were amazing and the atmosphere was just amazing. in the end we lost a fort to a bot filled guild. pretty sad :)

- Haven and Hearth . Also a pretty horrible unfinished, buggy mmorpg. But again, the people i had played with were really cool and the stories we had will be remembered for a long long time.

Other games like cs 1.6 and tf2, were also amazing.


Playing NWN1 and Diablo 2 co-op with my brother was also great. But only because i played with my brother. It was just so much fun running around killing mobs , talking about life, epic gear, quests. Staying till late nights.

probably Team Fortress Classic. It was the first class based FPS I had ever played. Concussion grenade Jumping is addicting and really awesome. It was also the first game where I really got involved in the community and played competitively in clan matches. I also had a lot of time on my hands back then and I was pretty damn good at it. I was a force to be reckoned with as a medic. TF2 was good but it just wasn't the same and never captured me like TFC did.

Also some of you may hate me for saying this but World of Warcraft was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. It was my first MMO, I'll never forget the first time I stepped into a 40 man raid and how awesome it was. Running around in the world back when there was actually fun with world pvp to take part in and you actually saw other people... I was addicted to that game until about TBC then I grew tired of it but it was badass while it lasted.

Though, in all fairness, EA didn't develop that game. That was Bioware. EA merely put it in boxes and shipped it.

That doesn't mean that a publisher doesn't have a say in the direction of a game (DA2 is proof of that), EA can be very flexible. In some games, they don't interfere much, in others it seems they all but tell the devs which colours to use. Whatever you do, don't use purple in conjunction with 0451.

Planescape Torment. Absolutely great RPG game.

D2 Greatest game ever made.

POE - Second greatest game ever made.

Im pretty partial to ARPG style games, and well D2 is just fuckin godly for its genre, and although i feel POE is headed in a direction that could make it even better than D2, its alittle short atm.

Things like additional gems that arent skills, but stats, modifiers, etc... are needed to bring this game up to the top of the list for me. Still , its about the next best thing since D2 IMO.

Theres also alot of other really sweet games out there, but sadly , i just dont classify them as remotely close to what D2 did, and POE, well its about the only ARPG to-date that i think has really captured the essence (partially) of what and why made D2 so goddam great.

I would say that my favorite PC game of all time was and is Runescape , it's the game i ever played the most (around 5 straight years). Sometimes i go back just to remmember old times :b.
