[UBUNTU 13.04] Failed resetting Direct3D device objects

how?? i got this on linux and windows now!!! how u fixxx
I guess this thread is new enough to post a reply.

I'm getting the same error on archlinux x64, the game used to work fine some time ago when I was using fedora, it was nowhere near perfect, but it was playable.
I'm currently using the latest version of wine, not the one on PoL which is recommended for PoE, but I was having the same problem with that one anyway.
I already tried doing a fresh installation, as well as deleting production_Config.ini, but that didn't make any difference. Back on fedora I would get the same error if I ever tried to change the resolution from the ingame menu, now I'm getting this regardless everytime I launch the game.

This is what I get when I run PoE from a terminal:

Any ideas on how to get around this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

so, how did you guys manage to solve it? cause I'm having the same issue
I had the same issue, told playonlinux to use the latest version (1.7.51) of wine and it started and I was able to resize the game window.

Hope that helps
