Can we delete hardcore league because it splits the already small community?

All that hardcore league's purpose seems to be is splitting 10% of the community away into their own elitist self entitled snobby little world where they spend all day whining about lolscrubcore.

Couldn't we just remove it from the game because so few players actually play it and it splits an already small community?

You can play hardcore on standard, just delete your character if you die. Same logic as Chris's response about why he doesn't want a SFL.

And we shouldn't have any races either, because that takes an already small community and divides it among however many race events they got going at the same time. You got players who only play these race events. We just can't be having that sort of divisiveness in the PoE community. Unacceptable.

The problem is that argument about how hardcore players cant play softcore cause they cant trade with only other hardcores is true of a self found players ability to group as well.

Chris totally missed this in his argument against sfl - SFL does not = solo, and you cant group with people and maintain the purity of SF because you cant know the others dont trade.

Just like a hardcore player couldnt buy loot safely in softcore because the loot could come from people who die.

So in the end we have people who want a solo SFL, people who want a party SFL, people who want buffed drop rates and people who don't... yeah great. Good luck getting that SFL.

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

I'm not aware of any hardcore players that could care whether their gear was "pure" or not.

The main reason for separation is to avoid the deliberate and malicious griefing of hardcore players for lulz.

I looked at the huge SFL thread and probably half of the people in there want buffed drop rates (because, as mentioned earlier, the game would be fucking boring otherwise).

This is wrong, review your own thread. The vast majority of you imply that SFL SHOULD have higher drop rates.

Basically, I want gg gear quickly, buff drop rates, i mean, sfl league yeah!

YEAH SFL LEAGUE!

No. The only reason for the HC seperation is to create an elitist self entitled community that can think they are better than everyone on scrubcore, as posts from HC players prove time and time again.

then why do they ask for re balanced drop rates repeatedly in that massive SFL thread? You guys need to decide what it is you exactly want. seems everyone has a different idea. perhaps thats why GGG said no because in the end it wouldnt change a damn thing. they are smart enough to realize this you all are not.

This argument has poor logic. Where would any of the temporary hardcore leagues go then after they end?? To default? It's just not comparable to a SFL in such regard.

Yes, it is completely comparable to sfl.

Both hardcore and SFL are smaller groups(I assume) that want separate leagues to play. Both groups COULD play in softcore exactly how they play now. Its exactly the same.

I don't see that it is comparable. A lot of what makes hardcore different is the economy. With Self found you can ignore the economy entirely. It's the one permanent league where you don't wind up with an overflow of legacy items and such. There is more to it than just delete your char for hardcore. With self found not trading is really all there is though.

I havnt seen this as a vast majority opinion on SFL.
