Game is too easy? Not complex enough.

Agree with Never_nou, those mobs don't encourage players to play again next difficulties, most of the time they just play for complete his builds or do maps other than enjoy playing the game itself.

In my opinion this subject should be one bigger thing to improve.

Mob diversity.

Yep , the monsters in the game atm are ridiculously dumb they need some serious AI improvements .
dude I got insomnia and I was typing a big ass post with so many feedback on this regard... by accident hit f5 and it's all lost.

If I ever feel like typing it all over again... I'll make it here or in a new thread...

Now Im gonna try to rest, cuz even if I end up not sleeping, I have a lot of work to do tomorrow.

It's not that the game is too easy, it's that enemies are too repetitive. Sure you have lots of different enemies, but none of them require you to use different tactics to overcome them. Goatmen are the same as skeletons are the same as monkeys are the same as zombies. You all fight them the same way.

Having diverse enemies does not make a diverse game. Having enemies that require diverse SOLUTIONS is what makes a diverse game.

I think "Dark Souls - Prepare to die" is the game you are looking for.

PoE imo will never hit your target and i appreciate it that way.
Forums are SOOO much fun on patch day!

Casuals play because it's fun, not to achieve any goal unreachable with their resources.
We are playing for the next difficulty, the next keystone, the next item upgrade.
Not to feel better than anyone else.

the diverse solutions are basically limited to your skills keyset - the pace of the game leaves nearly no room/time for tactics/fight preparations... there's no chance to sneak kill enemies one by one if they always come in hordes and recognize you from 150% offscreen - thats the prize of the action in APRG...

That's not true at all. You're just too steeped in what's in front of you that you've forgotten anything else existed.

Have enemies that are invulnerable from certain angles. Have enemies that must all be killed within a certain timeframe. Have enemies with movement patterns more complicated than: Run at you -> Run away. Have non-boss enemies with strong but telegraphed attacks.

C'mon man go watch some Barney and Friends and come back when you've grown an imagination. It's not too hard to think of an enemy that can force you to do something other than spam the same attack.

Then how is it a hardcore gamer game? I Donated for this game because it advertised as such, and I really believed it was made by some hardcore gamer enthusiast team.

Now I have more and more the feeling that this is a casual game for casual gamer. And it's a dark and gritty version of farmville.
My sister that only play facebook games managed to beat act 2.

This game = casual game. Once you get the good build (or copy paste it from the forum) all you have to do is mindless hacking for hours.

On which difficulty are you again?
You will look back on this post in 1 year and be so terribly imbarassed, you do know your commenting on a Beta yes? you really think this is all that there is going to be? Youd be forgiven though, so many games that didnt even go through Beta testing arrivoing on nshelves professing to be complete.
Just be patient and try not to exploit the things that can be at the moment, it will serve you well in the future.

I would like to point out that Diablo 3 tried to make invulnerable minions and this blew up. They also tried to make really challenging fights with those random characteristics and it blew up too since some characteristics were not balanced when combined with others.

I agree to some extent that more diverse monsters would be cool and it would also be cool if it did require some skill other then just getting gear. I also know that Act 3 isnt out yet, PvP isnt out yet, and I know they are going to make more/harder end game content.

For those past lvl 60, you know how much 1 death sets you back so you really do have to start taking that into account and its not just a run/smash game. The people that are able to nuke content are extremely geared/skilled and most likely outlevel that content.

Find someone who just hit 60 who is trying to do a lvl 60+ map and see how they fair. Also wait till act 3 comes out and I bet they will have new maps as well.

If you think back to vanilla WoW (I know its a different genre of game but hang with me here) Was leveling at 29 fun? Was collecting 10 bones from random monsters fun? No. Everyone power leveled to end game for the challenging stuff. Guess what. It was after release where they introduced that challenging stuff and added MORE content.

End game is really where that "challenge" is, D3 was a great game until end game... I feel like PoE is a little more boring early on and then it opens up and has a better end game then most. I would rather have a crappy early game and fun end game then the other way around.

Not giving an excuse, if they buffed up early content it would be AWESOME! I think overall PoE is headed the right direction and wait another year and I think you will be impressed?

What are you talking about? End-game is no different than anything else. It's still the same enemies and you still use the same tactics to defeat them. If by chance you come across a map that requires a tactic you're not used to, you ignore it and trade it for something else.

Your suggestion solves nothing.
