I dont know why they just couldnt increase the cost for every other aura worn at the same time or buff their strength by an amount if you wear a lower number of auras. I mean purity and some other auras already reserve 30-40% of your pool alone (I know you can blood magic and stuff like that). You'll still be able to stack auras with EB, just not as many. But EB still has other great uses. It can allow you to run a high level arctic armor, which is amazing at high levels. And it can also allow you to use high mana cost skills without the need for mana leech. With the addition of mana shield, EB will be even more powerful. I have over 4K life, and EB, and I am right next to the node where mana shield was in the 1.0 skill tree when Chris previewed it. Also, I go around the outside of the tree so I won't be affected by the Scion blocking off the middle. So to answer your question, yes I am expecting people to do just that...
