If you are nerfing auras you need to buff Eldritch Battery

In the recent announcement GGG said that most flat cost auras will be changed to %reservation in the 1.0.0 update. This is a HUGE nerf to Eldritch Battery as its main use was to be able to stack 6-7 auras.
EB should be buffed in some way to compensate for this change. (Maybe a big bonus to mana regen%?) EDIT: Or maybe include a large reservation reduction so aura stacking with EB is still possible. Last edited by Tyronis3#2327 on Oct 15, 2013, 12:53:36 AM

Agreed. It's already difficult to play as a summoner with a clear speed remotely resembling some of the 'fotm' builds, much less with this change.

To note: Qarl said "most" not "all".
And Chris's post states there will be a lot of reduced reservation nodes around, most likely to be as useful as any plain mana nodes, which you'd take a lot of with EB anyway. They may even be in the same spots. If in the end you can get as many auras without losing any passive points, by taking reservation reducers instead of mana nodes, and only taking a hit of like 200-300 mana at most then that's not bad considering they're all gonna be buffed. Plus, who knows, they may actually scale the power of an aura to the amount of mana is reserves. They didn't exactly say how things would be buffed. As an EB summoner I can say with confidence:
Um, no, aura stacking was far too easy, a nerf is well-deserved. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
