How to use the Arctic Armour Level 20
" From what I heard about the Dominus fight, you will like that too.^^ And Piety is pretty good to in my opinion. Minions are summoned. She changes her Element via the portals which you can influence if you are fast enough in destroying them etc. “Demons run when a good man goes to war" Last edited by Sneakypaw#3052 on Oct 13, 2013, 10:39:49 AM

Yes the fights in Poe are all fine and dandy, but they are not like fighting freaking dragons!
Do you even Fus Roh Dah brah? I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready. " Ok. Level up an arctic armor gem on your bm marauder. You can still put the gem into an item irrespective of your class, build, and spec and level it. If you can't because of stat requirements, then get the stats. AA only requires 87 dex, and 60 intelligence to run at level 17. These are extremely low requirements comparative to other skill gems. Of course, if you can't get the stats, then the gem is simply not important enough for you to use and it's your loss. ^^ " You're in the Cells map. You 'know' there is a void bearer boss at the end. Bring the AA gem along with you and swap it once you get to the boss. If you have 24 skill gem slots where you can't even swap out a single one for another, then I can only conclude your build is bad due to inflexibility and to modify it so that it is flexible enough that you can swap a single skill gem out. In regards to leveling the gem, put it on a secondary and level it to 17. If all of your secondary gem slots are full and you can't swap one out to level a single gem to 15-17, then again I simply argue your build is inflexible or your priorities are out of whack, as you may potentially be trying to level gems to sell for the 20% recipe. " I'm intentionally not talking about your point! :/ You keep defending how impossible it is to get a leveled AA gem and to use it on the Cells void bearer boss. Your arguments are rubbish. It's not that hard to get a gem and level it up to 15 minimum, 17 tops. Yeah, 18,19,20 are hard but really getting a gem to 17 isn't difficult whatsoever. Hell, you can probably tank the boss with like... level 10 arctic armor with capped resistances if you want me to be realistic lol. It just ain't as hard as you be makin' it out yo! To Clarify: There is a difference between you not wanting to use the gem and not being able to. Sure, you might not want to run it or you want to make it seem like you can't. But at the end of the day, if you really wanted to run the gem, you could and quite easily. Last edited by DestroTheGod#5470 on Oct 13, 2013, 10:57:51 AM

" here's the funny part: the dragon is at the top of a tower you need to climb, but the area leading up to the tower (and to another area, which eventually leads to the Act Boss) contains a Skyrim Easter Egg "Dragon Shrine" :) and there are tons of other Easter Eggs and tributes too. for example, you are advised to explore boss area of a previous boss in the same act, after beating it. you may find a certain annoying robot from Borderlands :P and how about a Minecraft cave with Creepers? lol. NOTHING beats Torchlight 2 in pure entertainment value :D Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

" I did find the robot but i did not know what it was since i never played borderlands. About the other two, i didn't know they existed. Maybe i should reinstall and go on some egghunt. Spoiler
Claptrap is always there in that boss area, but the Skyrim shrine (in the area next to the tower) and the Minecraft cave (in the Battle Field area after it) are random events, so you may need to reload those areas a few times.
in both cases, look at the edges of the map in a specifically-themed area. the Skyrim Shrine typically has a walkway before it, that isn't shown on the map.
Spoiler
also, do the "Robot Parts" cross-act quest.
there are 2 parts in each act (1-3), and a secret area and boss fight in act 3 once you assemble the robot (you'll know the guy if you played Torchlight 1). note that you can only assemble it after you beat the act 3 boss. EDIT: @Destro, I'm not saying how "impossible" it is to obtain Arctic Armour. I'm saying that a boss fight - or any fight for that matter - that ASSUMES you have AA or a specific unique/set of uniques, and bases it's difficulty around it, is flawed design. why? because you'll get slaughtered if you don't have the gear, and face-roll if you do - and both options are terrible for the gameplay experience. but since you insisted on going into detail, my Marauder won't be able to use AA even if it's 20/20. AA doesn't work with Blood Magic. plain and simple. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat Shadow: That was fun Last edited by johnKeys#6083 on Oct 13, 2013, 11:21:08 AM

" Robot parts was an excellent quest. I found them all as well. I'm a sucker for those kind of things. What i never found the purpose of was the boot you got from the witch in a3. " it's pretty simple, really: boss fights should be both good enough to keep you interested no matter your gear (unless it's just insane and nullifies the challenge), and skill-based enough so you may have a *much* harder time if you lack the gear, but still feel it's somewhat doable. GGG designed far too many fights as just gear-checks, so they are hopeless if you don't have the gear, and uninteresting if you do. the Cells Voidbearer is one very obvious example. " So I'm still curious... Do you genuinely believe that Artic Armor is an extremely difficult skill to gear for in regards to using it on the Cells boss? I'm sorry but I'm honestly curious. I can't help but wonder. I won't even debate it anymore whether or not it is. But I just want to know if you really do, deep down inside, believe that using this one skill gem with medium stat requirements is difficult.
