Scion unlocking: how will you do it?

What are your strategies for unlocking the Scion class when Release hits?

Personally, I'm going to roll a new character in the HC 4-month league (Nemesis, I believe it is called) and play through normal difficulty as I always do; taking extra time to appreciate and enjoy Act 3x, of course. Once I unlock her, I'll devise a build to use her placement in the Skilldrasil and go from there.

Is there some other way ?
Pretty sure that's how it has to be done... Only choice really is what league.

I was under the impression you could take your level 90 God-tier character and steamroll normal Act 3x on your Standard/Hardcore character and unlock her very rapidly.

There's also always the option of leveling a character ahead of time and getting it just to appropriate level for late act 3 so you can get it unlocked as soon as possible while still experiencing the challenge of doing so as intended.
probably gonna just use my endgame char, go to normal, turn off all sound, speeeeeeeeeed through the act 3.x, like not even kill anything just run run run with multiple quicksilvers, then one shot the boss with my eyes closed, and make a scion, since I intend to make my first char a scion.

So far we've no indication that's not so.

It's an odd move by GGG, when Chris is clearly appealing to players not to do that -- when it's the easiest way to unlock the major new feature.

No idea why GGG would appeal players to not get the unlock quickly -- we already spent hundreds of hours leveling/feedbacking the same content over and over and over again, losing HC chars to desync, etc etc.

Regardless, I have several mid-high HC characters ready for merci to go unlock her that have sit on the backburner should desync improve.

Hate to say it but I am with you. I would rather be strong and destroy while I take my time checking out all the new goodies. New league with a new character as soon as possible is far too tempting for me to pass up. I'm weak!

It's more about GGG, and Chris specifically, not wanting people to breeze through act 3X normal on a super high level character. A lot of work has gone into act 3X, clearly, and it's understandable the devs don't want people taking that for granted by obliterating it in ten minutes.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
Going to roll a new character and do it the way intended. Been playing this game for about 2 yrs now, and still not tired of the content.
That being said, I think right after I unlock her, that character will get retired in favor of whatever other builds I have going.
But I don't want to faceroll the new content. I don't understand why anyone would.
All the things I want to remember are in the places I'd like to forget.

Having seen the difference in global chats between Standard and the temporary leagues, I'll be making a new character on Domination, taking my time getting up to the Scion and then starting over.

+1

Seems like the most fun way to do it.
