thats wierd mate. you know critcap is 95% not 45% :) i think anything less than 70% isnt realy a "crit" build tbh.

A bow that rolled crit chance only has ~6.8% base crit chance.

To achieve 70% crit chance, you would need over 1,000% increased chance to crit on your tree/gear.

A bit unrealistic, no? You could show me a build that achieves that. Good luck.

Also, bow skills tend to hit many many more targets than other skills.

Split arrow (six projectiles) + chain, when it crits, crits pretty much the entire screen -- and then some.

So really, it's for balance purposes that bows don't hit the 70% that wands do, because wand skills don't have the ability to hit the entire screen in one shot without really odd support gem combinations that you won't be able to support mana-wise.

If you go RT, then the voltaxic rift is superior. So its still best in slot for some archer builds.

Your bow might do more damage, but Voltaxic is a better bow, and is optimal. Your bow is weak against monsters with "Resists Ele Damage." Voltaxic is not. I love having a Voltaxic user with me when I'm on a map that spawns a ton of Lightning Resistance Golems. It just shreds them like butter. Conversely, the monsters resistant to Chaos, are bandits which still get shredded. Second, Your Bow + Double Reflect is probably not real fun. Voltaxic can offscreen anything it wants.

When you tried voltaxic vs your bow, did you have thunderfist equipped?

You should make a thread about that, then. Since pretty much no one else can crit into double reflect, but you are in Hardcore. Does that mean Kaoms?

CI + vaal pact, and I'm not the only one who can achieve this.

Fougner has a thread about a build similar to the one I'm using over in the Ranger forum. He emphasizes phys over ele, so his path is a bit different but it's close.

He has tested it as well, such as bringing ele reflect pack + phys pack together in giant group on reflect map, and spamming into it....No noticeable damage taken.

Yeah, that makes sense with Vaal pact, but for any life build Voltaxic is BiS.

there are many people running vaal pact and it works well.

the only thing that can really fuck you over is -max res, but tbh that can fuck basically anybody over, for reasons other than reflect damage ;)
