Razer Footprints is the dumbest marketing I've ever seen...
" ![]() GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

It's incredible the number of people that doesn't have a single clue how life works. To people seeing a problem with this one-of-a-kind partnership between GGG and Razor, I suggest you never start a business, because you obviously don'T know how it works. Instead of trying to learn from it, you complain... I love people with open mind.
Edit: And for people calling me fanboy, those following the forums enough will remember I've been calling out loud a bad business practice GGG were doing at open beta launch. They made mistakes, everyone does. GGG learned from it and is now very careful about customers "hapiness". But this is not a mistake in the Razor footprint case, it is a way to increase the cash flow for the sole purpose of developing this game. There is no way they can make you happy about this marketing thing, because there is no reason to not be. The only thing they can do is to shrug and continue their job. " You have no idea who you are speaking to or what they do for a living, so making statements like this is silly and makes you look foolish. pneuma hit the nail on the head in the previous page: People pay, in part, because they hope it means they won't have to see company logos spammed all over Wraeclast. If they donate thousands of dollars and still have to see advertising spam, they won't go on to donate thousands more dollars. That means GGG is running a very serious risk of simply bringing in a short term revenue injection at the expense of a long term revenue stream. Don't tell me I don't know business simply for pointing out the absurdity and short sightedness of this. To people who are saying immesrion doesn't matter: The number of things Chris and GGG have refused to compromise on in the name of maintaining immersion and staying true to their vision of Wraeclast is astonishing, and in the past has been inspiring. It's sad that you "supporters" don't even realize this vision existed to begin with, but understandable given the circumstances :( |

Having the green one in game allowed me to turn the pulsating blue one off on my mouse.

Saw the cool green colored footprints in town and checked website to see what it was. Found out its actually the Razer tag, pretty cool. Didn't see it real good in game till now. Great idea from GGG and Razer, have a nostromo myself.
As far as immersion goes, it falls inline with all the other special character effects. |

" You're kidding yourself. Shiny magical effects are in line with a shiny magical land. Real life logos are not. |

Charon stated that GGG get NO MONEY from Razer for this just the advertising from Razer in a you wash my back I will wash yours kind of thing.
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.
Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :( Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt. |

" I think people are making mountains out of molehills here.. it doesn't say "RAZOR ROCKS!" or spell out the name across your screen, it shows three coiled green snakes for a few seconds. Anyone who thought that player donations alone through purely cosmetic options was going to keep this game afloat perpetually - are/were fooling themselves. I gave them a thousand dollars, they didn't "betray my trust" or "sell out" they made a good business decision. GGG is a group of people, with real life concerns, if you cannot see that and only focus on some idealistic vision you have in your mind, then I think GGG is certainly doomed but not for the reasons cited here. No idea how Charon has any knowledge of GGG's private deals. If they didn't get money directly through the deal, I am sure they expect to get money through a sponsorship with a well known gaming company by getting the PoE name out there. When Kellogs sponsors a racecar, nobody thinks the racecar crew 'sold out' they realize that a top-performance race team requires sponsors. Not sure why videogames are any different. "the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers."
