Razer Footprints is the dumbest marketing I've ever seen...
It´s great, nothing but great!
I bet if it was some other company, saaaay; Curse - Then people would not bitch about it, just due to the fact that you do NOT LIKE Razers products, dosnt mean the game wont bennefit from it. Again; It´s free. - This means; Nothing that you will ever have to pay for. GGG Sure made cash on it. - You have at atleast 1 point in time supported GGG by donation cash to them, would it be better if _YOU_ took cash from your own, and gave it away to GGG? If so; - Have a chatt with Chris himself, i bet they will be more then happy to accept your monney, you will even end up making atleast 1 iteam / effect aswell. THAT i can assure you! It´s great, sure. I do not like Razers products what so ever, never had something from them that i was happy with. - But i do got the footprints. I like when things goes well for people/companies. Especially the good guys out there. GGG have turned out to be an awsome pack of people and they deserve all respect and cash anyone ever put into the company. I am also more then happy to see that such a major company as Razer invest both time and cash into something as "smal" as GGG really is. Again, if you havent already seen it: - GGG is a small team from around the world, stationated(?) in NZ, also the founders of an totaly amazing game called: Path of Exile. They sure deserve all respect/Cash they have been given so far, and even more. What have you done recently? Beeing jelly over something someone else have managed to do with there lives, and especially on such a low budget that they had to start with? Stop hatin´ maaan, it´s bad for your health. If you want to bitch out on things that do not matter what so ever; - Go politician! zzZzzzZzzZz

I like Razer, own quite a few products by them. However this type of advertising is more likely to make me look at alternatives the next time I'm in the market for such a product. Not impressed with this kind of "in your face" advertisement when playing the game of my choice.
EDIT: Also, an easy fix is to make this effect client side only, so that I don't have to look at 4 people in town with razer foot steps, which is completely out of place. I don't care for arguments that this logo fits the game; it doesn't. It's the Razer logo, not a game effect, I know it you know it everyone knows it. Finally someone has the courage to point out how a symbol that appears for seconds and looks like a group of coiled snakes is just so gosh darn offensive! It really breaks my emersion because I look and I see the snakes and I'm like "oh hey look at those snakes" and then I have to remember all the posts like this crying about it and... yeah, just really bugs me.

OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS--(Reuters - September 2, 2013) - McDonalds (NYSE: MCD), the largest fast food corporation in the world, has announced a deal to acquire Grinding Gear Games, a small New Zealand based video game studio known for its up-and-coming action role-playing game "Path of Exile."
"Research has showed us that the demographics of video game players and the demographics of our customers are very similar," stated Don Thompson, CEO of McDonalds. "We feel that this deal will benefit both of our companies." "I'm very exited about McDonalds' investment in our company," Chris Wilson, one of the original founders of Grinding Gear Games, said. "This infusion of cash will ensure that Path of Exile will be an exciting game for years to come." In the upcoming 11.6 patch, players of Path of Exile will begin to see the effects of the deal. Players will be able to venture into a new dungeon named McDonald Land, in Act 3 of the game, which takes place in the ruined City of Sarn. There, they will encounter new monsters unique to that area, and have a chance at finding the mysterious Big Mac Orb. |

"` Logos don't work like that psychologically, that's the whole point of them. When you look at Starbucks logo, you don't see a picture of a woman with a weird commie crown on her head, you see and think Starbucks. That's what logos are for, to make you think of the company the moment you see them. Sorry if all the posts from people who are upset bug you, but it sounds like you're being pretty narrow minded about the whole thing. I get why some people don't mind them, but I don't understand why you'd think no one should have a problem with it, or be surprised that they do. It's blatant in game advertising with logos, in Wraeclast, of a brand that is instantly recognizable to many of us. To many people, that ruins the fantasy. |

" What? I have never seen snakes when I look at their logo... How do you see snakes? Oh shit they are snakes. ![]() I had no idea they were supposed to be snakes. |

Snakes? Come on, it's not snakes! What does snakes have to do with razor? Snakes don't even have facial hair.
