So is GGG selling out, or what?
" GGG really needs to hire a marketing guy or something. Even the most basic things like their Youtube channel are far from optimal. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" I have said it many times. There are tons of ways to gain customers short of putting other companies logos in your game. In a world of social media marketing GGG does little to promote themselves. The daily deals are a good start but where are the bundles, the summer sales, competitions to win GGG points, screens leaked via Facebook & Twitter, the odd developer stream on Twitch, ect ect? There's so much more that could have been done before this. |

" Blind fanboyism... Simply because I understand that GGG is a business that needs to make money, doesn't make me a fanboy - I criticize GGG quite a lot, and quite publicly. Actually, yes I had never heard of Razer - I know - if people don't know something you do then obviously they are an idiot right? The corporate logo looks like three coiled snakes in a group - it doesn't say 'razer rocks' or something, it isn't a pepsi logo, and as Chris said it actually doesn't look out of place in PoE. Tell you what, call it the "snake effect" and see if that changes your opinion at all. You need to stop leveling this "fanboy" attack on everyone who disagrees with you btw. *edit* Also you need to quit leveling charges against them about their poor marketing techniques - you have no information on their income or their profit margins or how liquid they are. You don't know a single thing. So most of your posts are just guesses and opinion with nothing substantive to back it up outside of your 'expert' opinion. " "Offer people MTXS for the popular parts of the game to make money" is not an 'expert' opinion. It is the most basic thing you do. I am not proclaiming to be a marketing genius it's just any fool knows that it's a good idea to market the popular parts of your product. Giving up space INSIDE of your game should be a last resort, there is so much more that could be done to advertise the game without it impeding on the actual content. |

i personally use game to dive into other worlds, have the illusion of being an adventurer or fighter, whatever. ads in the game pull me back into the real world, i continue playing but the experience is really different.
i supported ggg so that didn't happen. so we are adventurers in a harsh and unforgiving island, tortured by evil creatures, bandits, warlords and ingame ads. that ggg didn't get any money from the deal makes it even worse for me. you did that just for the advertisement? really? i need a minute to let that sit. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" They will certainly have more MTX's. Also, all of the MTX's they have are for popular parts of the game, the most popular - your character. They put in a green icon that looks like coiled snakes. It doesn't spell out RAZER across the screen. "the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers."

" Really? seeing a green icon on the screen for a few seconds just ruins the game for you? "the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers."

I think GGG sold out long ago.

" I disagree with your stance on this. Shiny magical kiwis in a shiny magical land. It fits. Shiny pulsating RL logo in a magical land doesn't fit. I do agree with the part where you pointed out that npc's and monsters never agknowlege pets, but I think that's more of a technical issue. Oh, and I'm done caring about the footprints. They suck balls, but not enough to warrant however many pages and threads they did. |

Agreed. Just do what I do. Leave town, and kick those people from groups.
