New 0.9.12 Cold crit witch build?

Ok, tried to make some screens:

Fully buffed (haste with frenzy charges)


Haste without charges


No buffs



I got 2 passive points in the meantime which I invested into +19% spell dmg (was thinking about Ghost Reaver instead, but...)
lvl 72 build

So if I count correctly, my possible DPS is now ~12.5k.

Related build (I think it's still same as before):

No comments on this build - it's almost precisely the same as the one posted previously on this thread, absent the shield passives. I agree this is about as efficient as it gets.

Hey, making another post in this thread about my character.

First of all I'd like to thank kennae for his awesome Cold-Crit Witch build which I've used for my own character.
I also had the honor to symbolically beat merciless Vaal with his help :)

I've just hit level 64 with my witch, and I want to know where to wisely invest my following passives.
Keep in mind that I have 15 potential respec points right now (12 from quests, 3 regret orbs).

Right now I feel a bit squishy while doing maps, often I bring a cold snap totem + skeletons to buffer the mob while I cast elemental weakness and spam freezing-pulse.
Sometimes I just cast ice-spear from afar to thin out a bigger/ranged mob.

*I was lucky enough to score Mailgaro's gloves in my last map run, they help me a lot.
*Life flask is just a frozen dispel one
*I know the item rarity support isn't linked anywhere, just a placeholder for when I farm.

1) Where should I be spending my next passives?
2) How under-geared am I in the ES department (Only: 1839 ES), should I forgo some IIR/IIQ gear in favor of ES?

So I started playing the game yesterday.
And went with a witch, but I got lost really quick because of the big passive skill tree.
Went on the forum and found this thread, just wanted to say thanks alot for you guys help !

Vor, you should def. get more ES. I think 4K with aura is "ok" to run maps. I have myself 7500 now and my chest only gives 300 (getting 5L Occultist soon to boost this). First you should put all your items to 20% quality, gives you more than 20% in overall ES, so thats pretty essential.

I woudn't use andvarious without dream fragments since cold is usually what kills us pretty easily if you get stuck.

Just to clarify, why does this build have so much Critical Chance that don't apply to your spells? Do you add Wand attacks to your rotation ? Or am I missing something ?

The critical strike chance and damage nodes in this build apply towards spells, this build is a pure caster.

A little question.
Do you guys use other cold spell then Freezing Pulse?
Or is it better to use the sockets for other stuff?
