Nimbleness isnt a bad passive for whatever caster build you are planning!

10% more cast speed/ 3 nodes = only 3,3% per node, not much difference between 3% nodes

actually is 12%x3 instead of 9x3%, is the best cast speed node after prestidigitation you can get

iam blind or i miss something

presdigitation yes 6%

nimbleness is also 6% but to get it u have to get 2x2% cast speed nodes, together it will give u 10% cast speed but in three nodes

i completly dont understand what u mean by writing 12x3% and 9x3%;/
aw yea sorry I got confused, btw it still is a nice bonus cast speed right next to you, and if you need cast you might aswell go for it
iam not against cast spped but as u see in builds in previous post, i have more important nodes to pick, if u dont agree then modify it and post ;]

anyway about cold to fire , whats the max value of it? ive readed thats 80% but maybe its more
In conclusion:
Base spell over 100 casts = 10,300 dam.
5% spell dam increase node = 10,815 dam.
20% crit chance increase node = 10,350 dam.
10% crit dam multiplier node = 10,360 dam.

Necro hows 3% cast speed in this calculations?
^

If you had a spell that had a cast time of 1 sec, you would cast 60 times over one minute. If the spell did 100 damage, that would be 6000 after a minute.

A 5% spell dam increase would be 105dam*60casts= 6300dam

A 3% increase in cast time would let you cast 61.8 times a minute so 100cam*61.8casts=6180 damage.

So basically 2damage per second difference. Speed increases in my opinion are more usefull for the slower casting spells, and not as big a deal for fast casting spells.

Although it wont affect your chance to critical, you will end up casting more in a shorter time and get more crits in that same time period, just as you will get more normal hits in that time period.

Overall the spell damage node will increase your dps more, and the faster casting will basically give you more casts to be just about the same damage.

So personal preference, like i've saidn there is no one single right way, or best way to build a character. Do what you will have the most fun with!

i have 1 question, cold to fire means that its converting cold dmg to fire dmg with bonuses from both types. But lecs say u can convert 100%, it means that i will shot only with fire which have +dmg% bonuses from fire and cold?

if yes it will mean that its best to stay at 50% converted to use both types of magic

it will also mean that best fire witch i cold to fire witch
i just want to know if with lecs say 80% converted cold to fire dmg in case of meeting with fire resist mob i have only 20% cold dmg?
What do you guys think of the " Taryn's Shiver " unique staff? Here the link http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Unique_Items#Staves

+1 to Level of Cold Gems in this Item
40% Increased Spell Damage
46% Increased Cold Damage
19% Increased Cast Speed
8% Chance to Freeze Enemies on hit with Cold Damage
Enemies Frozen by You take 20% Increased Damage

Requires both strenght and intelligence, but the bonuses seem to be very good, aren't they?
