If they nerf Facebreakers...

So you buff Facebreaker by doubling its damage (clearly intricately calculated for balance purposes), while actual physical weapon setups did not get remotely the same bonus.

Is that called balance? No, it is an error in balancing. Actual weapon setups got improved by X amount. Facebreakers got improved by 100% (if not more).

Must have been calculated by the devs themselves to serve as melee balance.

Absolutely not.

I agree that melee needs a buff. They got a buff, some things were improved more than others. Some much more in fact, some where you can completely go into the passive tree without a single damage node and still beat other setups.

Imagine this; melee arguably needs another retuning. So physical damage is increased again. Would only then be Facebreakers be called broken?

Compare to casters, 25k dps at end game is pitiful (especially in full party).

Make facebreaker scale with character level, problem solved.
25k is pitiful damage.

Try over 40k with Facebreaker, it's really not hard.

25k dps is good enough (which I have atm) to get you deep into the map levels. I am not sure about the 76-77 range though since the highest I went is 75.

I can easily reach 40k dps, if I switch my Blood dance boots with Darkray Vectors boot. But I decided to go with the % life regenerated per frenzy charges route.

I do not want to go off-topic, but I am kinda curious how much a 4L Darkray Vectors boot cost?
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Can't, I'm facebreaker dominator. Damage is shit.

25k..40k.... Wooooooooooooow! That's like... NOT EVEN CLOSE to half the end game range builds. Those ranged builds also don't have be in melee range and can avoid getting hit at all. There is no down side to ranged . More damage less risk.

Melee should do much more DMg considering the risk they take.

More damage = more risk. Reflect, you know. And physical reflect. The one you can't mitigate.

Again, this Facebreaker nerf speculation QQ (any GGGer has said something about a nerf?) gives arguments of the same quality as "Soul Taker fixes melee".
Not saying it needs a nerf, haven't an opinion on this yet.

Change the mod from 1000 'more' to 1000 'increased' physical damage

fixed. (though probably butchered)

That is only true at times. There are not always reflectors on the map and if there are, you can take care of them by several means. Also, more damage = more life leeched, so that would mitigate some of the additional damage you'd take from reflect should you accidentally hit a reflector (might still kill you, though :D).
The other truth is: The more damage you do, the less time for enemies to hit you, the more life (and/ or mana) is leeched back, the more often enemies get stunned.
Following your logic it would be safest to do no damage at all, which looks kinda wrong :D.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the problem frenzy facebreakers with blood dance and co? Can we just nerf them, and leave the traditional, "struggles to get over 12k" Infernal/Dominating facebreakers alone?
