If they nerf Facebreakers...

Chris mentioning something on reddit about facebreaker being nerfed.

There is a lot of talk about Facebreakers being nerfed. But GGG Before you make this poor decision I want to say a few things I think should be put on the table before a final decision is made.

- Facebreakers does pretty much the same DPS as most other end game builds at end game.
- Facebreakers is only overpowered at low levels.
- Why would you even mention nerfing a melee build before burning discharge/LowLifeRfSpork/EAQuillRain?
- EA Quill Rain can reach over 450,000DPS my EA Marauder can clear a lvl 74 map in 2 mins (no comment to ever nerf it)

- Discharge builds can 1 shot merc piety. (GGG_Henry was seen in global saying,"why would we nerf discharge?")

- Melee finally has an outstanding build but you want to pretty much slap us all in the face by nerfing it.
- More melee builds should be as strong as facebreaker builds.

The only logical nerf to Facebreaker would be to increase the required level of them to the mid level range to prevent lower lvl a a using them being too overpowered at lower levels. The fact that you GGG would even consider nerfing facebreaker before discharge, EA, low life RF is already a huge F u to melee.

- Melee has to be in melee range : ranged doesn't have to ever get hit
- Facebreakers lose valuable slots for resistances and life. ESP builds using bringer of rain

Why do you have such a hard on for ranged users? Why aren't more melee this fun? Whyat about other more OP items?

- Shavrones
- Kaoms
- Soul Taker
- lions eye (no drawbacks lol?)

What do you do if you make the facebreaker garbage for all the players who spent lots of time currency obtaining a perfect pair?

They called it melee patch for a reason u mean? ore what exactly is your point?


edit : i dont use facebreakers btw, just wanted to know what your point was, since they clearly stated it was a melee buff patch. And elemental on gear already scaled with skills, the only thing they changed, was making physical damage also scale, wich it did not prepatch.

No, it is not. GGG got themselves into a situation like this by making an item that was 'ok' using an old formula to completely balls to the walls OP using the new formula by making Facebreaker's bonus so incredibly high. Now it is time to rectify that mistake.

Facebreakers still can't 1 shot every mob In the game. 25k dps isn't ok but discharge shitting on everything is ok?

Explain this logic please. I want to know why MORE OP builds aren't in the spotlight.

Its their game man, they can do whatever they like.

But their stance is strange though, melee is half of any ARPG.

And since that patch, i think 7 new patches have ocured, and not one has mentioned facebreaker being nerfed. If i dident know any better, i would argue they are well aware of the impact of there patch, and are "ok" with it.

If anything, melee needs 3x the damage of ranged, just to balance the safety ranged has over melee.

Sidenote : the scaling of physical damage on gear was exualy implemented 2 patches after the melee patch if i am not mistaken. Therefore clearly showing GGG wanted to buff physical damage even more.(it's not that they wanted to buff it, it's just that every elemental damage already scaled with the passive tree, but physical damage did not)

So you buff Facebreaker by doubling its damage (clearly intricately calculated for balance purposes), while actual physical weapon setups did not get remotely the same bonus.

Is that called balance? No, it is an error in balancing. Actual weapon setups got improved by X amount. Facebreakers got improved by 100% (if not more).

Must have been calculated by the devs themselves to serve as melee balance.

Absolutely not.

I agree that melee needs a buff. They got a buff, some things were improved more than others. Some much more in fact, some where you can completely go into the passive tree without a single damage node and still beat other setups.

Imagine this; melee arguably needs another retuning. So physical damage is increased again. Would only then be Facebreakers be called broken?
