[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

"
How do i open the production_Config.ini file? Yes I have read the FAQ and I've found the file, but I don't know what to do with it to change it from fullscreen.
textedit
so i installed the new version (using your last version currently). my fps dropped from 30 to 15. not sure whats going on, but no settings changed. but everything does load much faster. but i cant use it at 15fps.

some people had success with lowering details (and some better fps by setting higher details). I know that is not the good solution, but maintaining wine port without means to reproduce the issue is extremely hard. (I still get the same FPS on my HW, if I had the FPS problem as well, it would be not hard to find which wine code change is causing it, and build wine without it).

Anyway what are you specs? (CPU, Memory, GPU, OSX)

What port you are even using? Wine 1.5.15 is really old and I don't even remember if I even used it.

i actually am running graphics on really low settings already.

os x 10.9.3 on a retina macbook pro 2.7 ghz intel core i7, 16gb ram, SSD, nvidea gforce gt 650M w/ 1gb ram

as i said before, not sure whats going on. put new version on, copied over the large game file, launched much faster, but fps dropped. all the same settings as older version. is there anything else i can give you to help isolate the problem?

cheers.

Yeah, your mac ;) Seriosly, try to play with settings... Wine is just a tool which translates Windows API calls to Unix API. Some functions are implemented better, some worse. Try to play with settings, setting even higher details may result in better fps (the game may begin to use different calls which are better implemented than those on lower settings).

The 4.2 version also has some not sumbited patches to it regarding some graphic functions (they should reduce stuttering), but maybe those are causing performance hit for you. If I have time next weekend, I will make a new version without those patches (and hopefully it will work, as I am currently running on OSX Yosemite, and I haven't try to compile anything on it yet)...
Hi, I have downloaded the game and everything runs fine, but if I travel more than 2 times, i mean when you change from one area to another, I go out of the game and then i have to close and run it again. I don't know what is happening, i'm sorry for the explanation, but it's more or less what happens...
Thanks!

The game crashes? hangs? or what exactly happens? Also, please provide some information for troubleshoting (logs (info where can you find them is in the first post under FAQ), your mac specs, possibly screenshot if there are any error messages, and what port version are you using)

Sorry for giving that little information, i didn't know what to do... There is no crush i think, is just that when i'm loading a new
map, the game takes me to the login screen.
