Evasion vs Armor : some feedback

Are you dual wielding? Because if you are the duelist area is far more efficient defensively. And the life nodes in the duelist area are also better.

" Yeah I'm dual wielding, so you think I should grab some block nodes ? Because I'm out of respec points so it would be a reroll :P So far I prefer to use Enfeeble because it lowers monsters damage by 31% where endurance charges give me only 12% damage reduction (unless I dont understand it correctly) And I forgot to say that I have currently 2.3k life, that's why I'm grinding at docks in order to get better life mods on gear. I'm having serious trouble with multiprojectiles Voidbearers though. |

The 14% DW block at the duelist area is massive for dual wielders, and he's right next to hybrid EV/AR nodes (can be used to get a little more oomph from granites) and the Troll's Blood cluster, and that endurance charge.
Oh and use Enfeeble+Charges, as long as you can afford to keep the charges up you'll be getting a total 42% damage reduction with three charges. " Oh right, I forgot about enduring cry ^^ According to ExilePro build summary, I have 148% increased life and also 120% increased evasion rating... I already took the block nodes in the Duelist area, and I'm at a point where it is better to upgrade the gear than take evasion nodes, because with the Leather and steel notable I gain 2% chance to evade :/ |

2% chance to evade off one node is actually pretty good. 148% increased life actually sounds a bit low.
If you're already in the duelist area don;t bother getting stuff in shadow area and collect the useful nodes there. Endurance charge + Troll's Blood being the big ones. Leather and Steel notable depending on if you like to granite. IGN - PlutoChthon, Talvathir

Okay then I'll follow your advice and stay in the Duelist area, I only hope I will get better weapons one day if I need to do more damage ^^

"Dual Wield can max block if they really want to gear for it, requires two uniques. On the other hand, Evasion scales with 1H+Block just as well as armour does. Edit: Grab the Troll's Blood cluster, and the endurance charge. Do so by moving through the 1H weapon nodes, then grab the life nodes in the duelist start. " requires 2 uniques (one not cheap at all) + no chest, so no 5/6 link and loads less evasion and life. great! and no, evasion doesn't scale as well, at least not the way I see it. evasion is just giving me less chance to hit, I have a lot of that already from block. When I get hit by a damage aura rhoa in a damage mod / extra ele dmg map, my stupidly high armor with 7 charges tanks most of it. An evasion character will weep. This is the difference. |
