Manually trading with people is great fun!
Manually trading is bullshit. Especially when you ask someone what they want for an item they linked in chat and they reply with "c/o 20ex" or some other bullshit that isn't true in order to rip people off.
FUCK manually trading with people in this game. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

If people aren't making out like a bandit, they aren't going to do business.
It's Diablo II's shitty trade system all over again. And GGG wonders why there are so many third party sites making money off of their game. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I haven't had much trouble with most of the cheaper items and gems but once something is worth a lot like an exalt or 10, things become very hard to work around.
I've bought items for 2.5 exalts only to find out the item was worth 1 exalt and some dude has his friend bid 2 exalts on it to jump the price. I've sold items for 1 exalt only to have the same dude sell it on trade chat a few days later for 2 exalts. I've bid buyout on a 1 ex buyout item only to have the guy retract his buyout because he realized he could get more for it. I've offered 30 chaos on items only to have my bid stand as the current offer for 5 days before the guy finally decides not to sell it. The list goes on and on... IGN: timtwins, timtwinz

I agree. They need to implement EBay for Wraeclast. While they are at it, I would like them to implement the ability to buy items for real money off of said Wraeclast EBay.
I am just too busy these days to actually play the game. I would also enjoy it if GGG implemented an automated combat system. That way, with my busy schedule and all, I can keep up with everyone else without actually having to log in. ign: SQLException

Manually trading is a first world problem. If you live in second or third world it comes natural.
If you live in first world, well you might have a hard time communicating with strangers. First world citizen get nervous, rude, personal, and whatever when trying to barter with another person. It pretty much a first world problem. Here is a tip how to trade: Trade 1: You: What the price for <item>. Trader: <Currency> Outcome 1: You: I'll take it. Outcome 2: You: I'll pass. Outcome 3: You: How about <Currency> Trader: Ok If not repeat 3 until Outcome 1 or 2 reached. Trade 2: You: What the price for <item>. Trader: Make an offer. Outcome 1: You: I'll pass. Out come 2: You: Make an offer until the price is agreed or you pass on it. |

" That's correct. If that happen I just pass on it. No need to barter. If the trader didn't post a price that means it is up to the customer to ask for the price. If the trader insist on the customer making him an offer I personally recommend the customer to move on. No need to waste time because the customer didn't want an auction type environment and got ambushed by the trader. |

True story:
(not 5L or anything) Me: How much is this chest ? I will offer you 16 chaos for start. Just PM me back what do you want for it. Trader: Lolz, you are one of those guys who want to buy everything for 1 chaos, fuck off. The chest wasn't really that good or sth, not 5L or sth and it was in standard. True story 2: I have a shop with b/o, the reason I set b/o is to avoid time-wasting negotiations. So there comes a guy, who want to buy X, X is 1 chaos b/o The guy: 1 fusing for X? The guy: ? Sorry, but no reply, I would spend more time contacting than 1 fusing is worth. Last edited by CookieVortex#2622 on Jul 27, 2013, 8:10:56 PM
