Player 1 (me): Hey, i've seen youre selling this awesome item for 2 GCP.
Player 2: Yeah, sorry, i already promised someone to sell it to him once he gets home. Player 1: What if i pay more? Player 2: No, im fine with the 2 GCP i set as a b/o. I just want to stick to my promise as that's the right thing to do. Player 1: But i'll pay more and i'm buying right now, no need to wait. Look, that other dude obviously isn't as interested as me if he let's you wait... Player 2: Sorry, i can't do that. If my buyer steps back from the deal, you can buy it later but that's the best i can do. Player 1: :( Yes, that really happened. Why did i have to meet the (probably) only person whose mind couldn't be changed by paying extra? ;) |

In game:
BM trader: "Offer item X. Offer please" Me: "I offer 7 GCP, what do you think?" BM Trader: " -_- " Me: "? what does that mean?" BM Trader: "Min 1 Ex" I think about it for a while, and because the item is good, I decide to take it. Me: "ok, 1 Ex. Act 1 normal" BM Trader "1 Ex leads" by this point, I am starting to get confused... Me: "leads? is this now changed into an auction?" BM Trader "1 Ex leads waiting for more bids" I drop the chat, level up my character a few levels and get back to mr BM trader after 20 minutes or so. Me: "what is the current Lead, still 1 Ex?" BM Trader: "I'll sell it to you for 2 Ex" Me: "What, we went from selling to auction back to selling again, only the price went up?" BM Trader"Just got a 2.5 Ex bid". Me: "and back to auction again"... This happened 3 times to me yesterday. People,m ,if you offer something up for sale, and you have a minimum price, please SAY SO. Also there is a distinct difference between selling something and Auctioning something off... Meh.. I now only buy things which have a fixed price, either here in the forum or in game. GM Trader: "selling item x, 1.2 Ex" Me: "ill take it, Act 1 normal" GM Trader: "cool, coming" Me: "T4T!" sigh... Don't Touch my Sweep please GGG!

I. Was somewhat interested in an item and asked how much. They said make me an offer I can't refuse. I said no thanks.

" Actually that's a good point I haven't though about: it will increase inflation. Moreover, people will have easier access to better gear (providing at T0 time they can afford it) so less death, more wealth staying in Onslaught at T0 +1 -> even more inflation. But inflation is inevitable in close circuit economy, it'll make it just way faster |
