The bolded section is a little wrong. The 6 socket items sell for 7 jeweler orbs not 10.

Thank you for the correction. I have fixed it. Does anyone else more experienced then me have any other tips to add for newer players to keep in mind while playing the game?

The main reason why I made this thread is because once I got my first char to level 50, I said to myself "Damn, I wish I knew about these things when I was a younger level." So I could get a head start on saving up certain items for the higher level gears.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Never thought about looking for items to sell that come from vendors... good one!

- How to make a good Amulet with +20 Stats base? Keep an eye out for Amulets with less then that. If you sell a Blue, Red, and Green Gem with the Amulet, it can create a random +10-20 Stats for the base. (Rumors say the better Gems will give higher chance of +20 Stats). When selling you can keep switching out the Gems until it makes a +20. Also keep in mind you want to do this with high level Amulets.

holy moly. I didn't know that. :D
My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

Thank you for this.
Every class can equip every level 1 skill orb, and skill orbs can be traded by placing them in the stash. This is very useful, as you pretty much always have spare slots for skill orbs in the earlier levels. This means that if you have a Marauder running around with a two-handed axe, don't be afraid to equip an orb with a Burning Arrow. Even if you don't use it, it will level up simply by being equipped. It will pretty soon require the wrong stat for you, but when it does, you can simply put it in the stash.

If you later start a Ranger, you can start the game with a level 2 or 3 Burning Arrow once you reach the stash. If you then let the Ranger level it up to, say, level 5 and you start a Shadow, your Shadow can use Burning Arrow almost from the start.

For this reason, it can often be a useful to level up Dex or Int a little bit even if you don't need those stats. By increasing Int for your Marauder, you can make it a lot easier for your Witch later on by letting her start with higher level spells. Just don't level them up too much, as that will increase the mana cost too much. If you have a Marauder level 50 and equip a level 1 Lightning Bolt, it'll level up pretty quickly.

(edit: was a huge wall of text, sorry. I put some air into it.)

Not sure if I would consider this "Advanced" Tips. But I will edit in a summary of this and give you credit. Thanks! :)
