I disagree. Most people who are against /players are the type that want to play with others, but no one wants to play with them. They want solo players to feel pressured into playing with them so they can get their superiority fix.

It's not Baldur's Gate or NWN, you aren't supposed to control more than 1 char in the same fight/instance/whatever.
on the stealing money example: e) make it pointless, by raising salaries to the point where it's easier to work for your money than stealing.
While it's not possible with money of course, it's possible in the current situation, and that would be /palyers command.
multiboxing w/ external help to control multiple accounts at once is abuse, and ggg treats it as so. multiboxing to trade btw accounts isnt abuse, which is something that someone from ggg has even done publicly. multiboxing isnt the abuse, its whats being abused.

I'll post why I support /players. Part of the fun of the game is facing challenge. The other part is progress. These two aspects are actually at odds with each other. If you progress, stuff that was once challenging now isn't. If stuff is too challenging, you don't progress. What /players allows for is control on the part of a solo player as to how he manages this balance.
A party player can manage this by grouping with stronger or weaker party members. A solo player doesn't have that option.

Uh, no. Will never happen. This game is meant to be social and GGG wants us to work as a community. If you let one bad group get to you like this, I don't think PoE is the problem but rather you.
You need to toughen up bro, it's the internet. Join another group or /ignore people.
Were you home schooled?
The home schooled part, pretty much goes to show you whats wrong with a lot of ppl now a days. Many kids are home schooled because a lot of public education smacks of marxist/leninist indoctrination. If you do not know what that means, learn some history. Kids are home schooled either of poor parents who don't want to put their kids through "the system" or rich ones that can afford teachers to home school them.
If I showed you some of the nonsense going on in local schools (including exposing minors as young as 11-12 to sexual content), it'd make your head spin. For example, imagine a brochure showing the back of a topless dude with his pants pulled down enough to expose the crack of his ass. In front of him is another dude kneeling as if giving him head. The brochure contains instruction on how to give head, should you deepthroat, etc etc. 11-12 year olds were exposed to this, along with words like "Want to fuck". Under the law, exposing minors to such content can send one to jail. Yet somehow the parents whose kids were exposed, asked for this teacher to be reinstated.
Next time you make fun of someone for being "home schooled", at least put aside the ignorance to understand why many parents choose this path.
And as for the /players, I agree that those of us that like to play on our own schedude shouldn't be penalized for playing solo.

Is there a limit for how much a game is allowed to copy from others? If there is i think PoE has already crossed that line long ago ..adding the /players command will harm more then it will help ...

I have to say something it gets on my nerves everytime I see this.
when people talk about muiltiboxing they are obviously talking about the ones that use external programs to control multiple character at a time. This is the only type of multiboxing people have EVER been concerned about so I really don't understand why some people want to confuse others on its meaning like this. Its almost like GGG wants the misunderstanding to continue or something... your talking about muling not multiboxing at least in terms of popular lingo and how its used. I really don't understand why people think it means something different in the context that its always discussed in. This is what it has meant for years now especially since it became well known in MMOs like WoW (ever run into a group of shamans in PvP all running together and doing everything simultaneously? Thats what people are talking about when they use the word multiboxing).
I assume Chris was just trolling when he did that since I find it hard to believe he didn't know what people are talking about when they use the term multiboxing. All he had to say is that its illegal and we would not keep seeing it brought up over and over again and seeing convoluted crap like this that only serves to confuse the issue even more. The terminology exists to separate the two distinctly different actions and is already commonly used except here for some reason. I can not simply wrap my head around why GGG doesn't spell it out for people so we don't have to see it brought up every 5 minutes. fuck it I'll do it
Muling = opening up multiple instances of the game on the same computer to trade loot between accounts. something commonly done when one needs more storage space.
Multiboxing = Using external programs to control several instances of the game in an attempt to give a single player control over multiple character at once.
very different things with very different consequences. Lets please quit with this bullshit its getting old just separate them so there's no more confusion.

"multicheater"? Its amazing how increasingly ignorant the F2P community is getting.
/players command is obviously a good thing, at least outside of races. Can't think of a legitimate reason to not add it in the normal leagues.
