Another reason for /players
Yesterday I responded to a Global request looking for a high IIQ/IIR sporker. I very rarely ever group mainly because before the last patch I wasn't quick enough for loot.
(Glass Cannon build doesn't do well in the midst of mobs). So I thought sure I'll run some maps, have some fun, maybe actually pick up something. I wish I had taken a screenshot at the verbal abuse. One of the group opened a map while the others finished one and for some reason I was chastised for that (it wasn't my map). Then the bitching about my gear began. I wasn't running fast enough in my Wondertraps. I wasn't killing fast enough. I wasn't doing enough dps. I wasn't using Heartbreakers. My IIQ (110%ish) wasn't high enough. My IIR wasn't high enough. And so on. And of course these internet tough guys used the foulest of language. So here is my humble plea GGG. Please patch in /players. I don't want to group and many others don't either. I want to run at my pace without being a multicheater, and without being cursed at and called racial slurs. /players would also allow us to extreme test our builds especially if you took it to /players 12. Etc. Last edited by Rawrasawr#3785 on Jun 25, 2013, 9:44:26 PM

Uh, no. Will never happen. This game is meant to be social and GGG wants us to work as a community. If you let one bad group get to you like this, I don't think PoE is the problem but rather you.
You need to toughen up bro, it's the internet. Join another group or /ignore people. Were you home schooled? ॐ "Metal Gear!?!?!?" ॐ

If people are rude I would just leave the party. I mean you're forgetting that 16 year olds play this game. People are going to act stupid sometimes. (most of the time)

The only way I'd see this working is if the command only simulated the health increase from additional players and not the IIQ.
(/players is a command from Diablo II that let you buff up the monsters in single player as if multiple people had joined the game, with full benefits. Typing /players 8 meant considerably more exp and loot, but made it harder.) Edit: To clarify, and as silidons stated; this command was only available in offline single player mode. " This response reeks of the typical player base. He says the game is "meant to be social" and "GGG wants us to work as a community"... Then proceeds to insults such as "Were you home schooled"? Somewhat ironic if you think about it and supports why a lot of the player base would love /players so as not to put up with such nonsense. For the person that asked /players increases the difficulty of the map/zone/area as if you have 1 or more extra players with you...without actually having to have them there. Put up a poll on the homepage and ask the playerbase if they would enjoy a system that increases difficulty of areas such as /players from D2? |

Hi guys,
Please don't antagonize other players! Thank you. | |
" Yup gotta agree with this. Why would I want to be social with a community that insults you just because you have a different opinion. /players command would be great but I doubt we will ever get one. We'll just have to wait until they start renting out leagues :( |
